The Killer Khan bio is my best work, but I think Yoshimura is my most important piece: a journey through early puroresu that isn't dominated by Rikidozan, Baba, or Inoki. Very excited for the new eyes that Charles will bring to my work.

In my chronological NJPW watch, I got up to the 8/8/88 Inoki vs Fujinami hour draw. It's remarkable in general, but in context, it's all the more so. I've clipped 20+ things i'd like to share for this thread. I suggest finding the match but... Here's how it starts, with Inoki charging right in.

Really outstanding thread on a match that defines classic strong style. Depicting pro wrestling as a martial contest means more than just hitting each other in the chest as hard as you can.🤼

Today is the 3-year anniversary of Wrestling Playlists. Grateful to everyone who has subscribed since the beginning and also to those who have come on board along the way. We still have a long road ahead of us, but that's the fun part. Thanks for motivating me to keep going!

Guys, how great is Buzz Sawyer here?

Every single thing about this is awesome. Even Flair's suspenders.

Listen to this crowd.

It's incredibly distracting in all the Piper's Pits going into WM3 that they've rehearsed them so much that everyone is mouthing everyone else's lines without realizing they're doing it.
