If she loses that side of the party, we are back to pre-unification, pre-Kenney, pre- WRP floor crossing, pre-Notley.

Bluesky is really dunking on popularism right now (cool). But let me offer a corollary challenge to primary election voters: endorse and support candidates who inspire you, not who you think will inspire a theorized median voter

Albertans have good reason to be angry: their real wages are down 10%, their minimum wage is frozen, their inflation is worst in Canada, their health care's at risk. None of that was caused by the rest of Canada. My take in today's @TorontoStar: www.thestar.com/business/opi.... #cdnecon

They’ve gone from “I never thought the leopards would eat MY face” to “The leopards are eating my face but it’s cool because they’re also eating the faces of the people I don’t like.”

Incredible the degree to which vaccine hesitancy is now ALL about political identity. Views on vaccines = ideological flag. Science means nothing. Politics means everything. Unvaccinated? Likely voted CPC & VERY against immigration. via @voiceoffranky.bsky.social cc @picardonhealth.bsky.social

Trading "inefficiency" for profit.

Alarm bells should be sounding. More of them than just this one post.

icymi - Alberta Premier Danielle Smith's fmr chief of staff lived in a home owned by a sister of Sam Mraiche, a businessman whose dealings w Alberta Health Services are subject to multiple investigations www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/alber... w @tomcardoso.bsky.social @hoserlibrarian.bsky.social

Covid is letting us know that it never went away.

I've been hesitant to write something like this because I didn't want to give oxygen to Alberta separatists. The conversation alone is dangerous. But with the threshold to a separation referendum lowered so dramatically, we can't let myths out there go unchecked. www.coreyhogan.ca/p/three-albe...

You know, if someone really wanted to shit disturb, they’d launch a campaign demanding to separate Edmonton, Calgary & the narrow strip of hwy 2 from the rest of Alberta to remain in Canada And use every wild argument the provincial separatists & Smith do in defending the idea & vote back at them

The Hub's VERY excited to announce an intimate conversation & panel discussion on the importance of #climate communication & bridging gaps between communities with one of our FAVOURITE climate communicators, @katharinehayhoe.com! JUNE 22 AT 6pm! RSVP TODAY: www.calgaryclimatehub.ca/an_evening_w...

The UCP is facing 8 investigations into corruption, plus no fewer than 3 major public sector union strikes (all of their own making). The affordability crisis looms, as does a trade war with the US. Wildfires & measles are raging. And the premier chose now to clear a path for a separation vote.

They're going to put his glasses back on, aren't they?

“Smith was asked on CTV News Channel if it wasn't easier to quell separatism by taking it off the table. Smith responded, “If there isn’t an outlet, it creates a new party.” Self preservation from Smith, Canada be damned. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli www.lakelandtoday.ca/alberta-news...

Well well well, Onyx sells its portion of West Jet today to Korean Air and DELTA- another Canadian company getting acquired by America. We need to curtail foreign ownership in Canadian companies esp if American!

"Conservatives Vote For Change, which is why we are voting in an interim leader who has already had the job and been defeated, until the current guy who was defeated in his own riding can get his job back" i mean do these people hear themselves www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

This is my new answer for everything. This is the voice in my head. I really enjoy our new PM.

Does he think Ovechkin is Canadian? Maybe confusing Russians and Canadians is a key to all of it.

By choosing a rural Alberta riding, Poilievre will put himself smack dab in the midst of an Alberta separation referendum. He needs to be asked about that repeatedly by the media that he likes to ignore because some of his would-be voters won't like it if he writes them off. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

"He also indicated concerns with Justice Minister Mickey Amery’s relationship with MHCare CEO Sam Mraiche and the business owner’s connection to former Edmonton police chief Dale McFee, who is now a deputy minister of the executive council." www.ctvnews.ca/calgary/arti...

I share this image often. But it's important for people to recognize just how much oil & gas disturbance DOMINATES Alberta's landscape. Yes, we need to be mindful of additional disturbance. BUT, the footprint of renewable energy is marginal compared to the harmful legacy of oil & gas. #ABLeg #ABPoli

Poilievre declares Squatter's Rights over Stornoway House (Podcast)

"'If you’re going to flirt with separatism, call a referendum,' said Naheed Nenshi. 'Just do it and let’s see what Albertans have to say. And by the way, premier, when you lose that referendum, please leave public life forever.'" #abpoli #cdnpoli

While billed as technical updates to restore faith in elections in Alberta, sweeping changes made by the UCP Tuesday do precisely the opposite. @jaredwesley.ca writes. #abpoli

Kennedy Advises New Parents to ‘Do Your Own Research’ on Vaccines www.nytimes.com/2025/04/29/u... "...also suggested the measles shot was unsafe & repeatedly made false statements that cast doubt on the benefits of vaccination..." The 3 Horsemen of Dark Age 2.0 👇

visualization of canada’s election results “land doesn’t vote, people do” etc

Probably the biggest single political upset I've ever seen in my life.

A long campaign is required for this. Want to flip a seat in 2-4 years? Start yesterday.
