Wow, Wolfenstein 3D turned 33 yesterday (May 5th)! 🎉 It's hard to believe it's been that long since we first busted out of Castle Wolfenstein. What's your favorite memory from this classic first-person shooter? #gaming

Can I be the first to point out that he does not know his fish... That is absolutely not a trout but a carp

Happy Star Wars Day! Here is UK Supreme Court in 2011 saying incorrectly "The Star Wars films are set in an imaginary, science-fiction world of the future". For as everyone knows they are set not in the future, but "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...". www.bailii.org/uk/cases/UKS...

Made the pilgrimage

This graphic gives helpful perspective I think.

It's warm out there! #cycling

Now Harrods. All these hacks on supermarkets... starting to feel eerily reminiscent of summer 2022 ad the dying days of the teenage hacking group Lapsus$.... www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... whilst I appreciate these measures are being described as precautionary, they do seem to be quite extreme and do seem to hint that there is an attacker in their AD infrastructure

more i think about this the more i hope that this is an automated system with the rule "if security clearance cancelled then ineligible for program" - rule implemented without human oversight. If its not then its a massive over step - what next cancelling passports / driving licenses of opponents ?

Let’s goooo!

www.theregister.com/2025/04/28/g... this I find frustrating, not that they're going to drop software support (You can't expect them to support it forever) but they're going to drop the support out of the app for the device.... this is a deliberate action to enforce obsolescence

Whatever the cause, rebooting the grid in less than 18 hours is quite an achievement. BBC News - www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c9... Spain-Portugal power outage latest: Power begins to return after mass blackouts - BBC News

In 20 minutes, the UK's Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy will be asking witnesses (including two of the most senior former intel officials currently working in academia) about the risks posed by offsetting Britain's strategic reliance on US security support. Essential watching.

M&S update via an employee, staff update at 3pm today Stores disconnected from hq.. no stock changes getting pushed to hq from stores. !!!Staff being told to remove sparks and M&S apps from their phones..!!! @grahamcluley.com @lisaforte.bsky.social

Lets spare a thought for all those dealing with the M&S cyber incident this week. And to all the staff in-store supporting customers, I read one lady comment saying her daughter who works at M&S came home in tears from verbal abuse from customers who couldn't use certain services. Be Kind.

It looks like there's a SAP NetWeaver zero-day in the wild: reliaquest.com/blog/threat-... SAP advisory (via cr0w on Mastodon): me.sap.com/notes/3594142

Today is one of the those days... Just picking up my London marathon t-shirt and just spotted that they gave me a women's small by mistake. Deep joy

So instead of legislating against music on public transport can we create some laws that say that chocolate bars have to fill the wrapper ? None of this big wrapper tiny bar inside malarkey

It's got to be .... Memories

God the EU Commission is exhausting. Do these people seriously think they can demand a “lawful access” backdoor in US-hosted messaging apps, and that US intelligence *won’t* use that tool to relentlessly spy on EU interests? www.politico.eu/article/encr...
