'Cause Trumps like us, baby, we were born to run rogue governments and side with dictators. #Trump #BruceSpringsteen

A huge thank you to Freeman Street Market for hosting a #WorldBookDay celebration on Saturday - hope everyone had a wonderful day. A wonderful space within an amazing market supporting many different creative activities as well as being a base for some of the best traders and stalls ever.

Join us at Freeman Street Market in Grimsby for a fantstic day celebrating our wonderful world of books. Lots of different events and activities including 20 different authors and illustrators. Philippa Leathley will be joining us all at 12 noon to sign copies of the brilliant #Inkbound.

They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but the pages didn't survive 437 years submerged in seawater! Nine leather book covers were recovered from the Mary Rose, which probably belonged to officers - books were very expensive in 1545! #WorldBookDay

Happy World Book Day!

Join us for a wonderful evening with contributers to The Lincolnshire Folklore Project. We will be joined by authors Jane Simmons Robert Etty Juliet E. McKenna Nick Triplow who have all contrubuted to the book "Lincolnshire Folk Tales Reimagined" edited by Anna Milon, Rory Waterman.

This book is so good!!! Also, look at it!

Check this out #KidLitUK! I love everything Az writes but this is something a bit different - a lush story collection. Well that's birthdays sorted for a bit! #Edusky

Authors, poets, illustrators and storytellers are happy to visit schools at any time of the year, not just on World Book Day (which is often fully booked months in advance). Celebrate reading on WBD and then arrange an author visit a few weeks later to build on it.

Really enjoyed The Gnome Book by Loes Riphagen (translated by Michele Hutchison and published by @pushkinchildrens.bsky.social). Had lots of fun visiting the world of Kick, the gnome, and exploring the wonderfully detailed illustrations. Definitely a book children will enjoy sharing with a friend.

Please Don't Read The Footnotes Please by @robwaltonwriter.bsky.social and illustrated by @reenamakwana.bsky.social is a wonderfully chaotic and anarchic collection of short stories, interspersed with Rob's random (and hilarious) musings in the footnotes. Published by @theemmapress.bsky.social.

The 2nd gripping title in the brilliant middle grade fantasy series, #ArtezansTheWhisperingWorld by @ldlapinski.bsky.social is a stunning read that left me desperate for the conclusion. The Hay festival has announced its schools programme and I am on it! Bring your students to learn the ways of Loki! @walkerbooksuk.bsky.social #BeLessLoki www.hayfestival.com/education/pr...

The postwoman has been…!!!!! 😍 It’s so touching to receive these letters, & humbling to realise that the Katie books still inspire children to discover art, 36 years after the first title was published! Thank you Raddlebarn School! I’ll read & reply to every one of them! #katiespictureshow

Very sad news about Rick Buckler. The Jam had a run of about ten singles that is probably unparalleled.

Buy any of the #PictureBooks on the longlist for the #KlausFluggePrize from @bookshop-org-uk.bsky.social during February and 10% will go to @booktrust.org.uk and @scottishbooktrust.bsky.social as part of #ReadItForward. You'll be supporting indy bookshops too ❤️📚 uk.bookshop.org/shop/klausfl...

Looking forward to talking about the book with David Burns on Hull's 107FM this Friday, 11.15am. And then it's on the road (actual and virtual). It'd be great to see you at the launch event: www.eventbrite.com/e/book-launc...

New billboard in Clacton, Farage’s constituency. He’s still the UK’s #1 grifter. No other MP takes more from second jobs while being employed to represent their constituents in Parliament

Next Wednesday is National Tell a Fairy Tale Day. Keep your eyes peeled for a Big Bad Announcement about my next book. #KidLit #KidLitUK #FairyTale

Some days just start earlier... first book of the day was "Ink" by Alice Broadway. This YA novel is set in a world where no one has any secrets because everything you do, say and are is tattooed onto your skin for everyone to see. - Michael
