This is a really great op-ed and shows significant social progress for Hawley, of all people, to have written it.

They drafted the changes in caucus! That’s my huge issue here - people’s business shouldn’t be done behind closed doors. This is even more insane because all members are of the same party.

Happy Mother’s Day! 🌺

Chicken casserole and green beans in the oven.

The dog’s owners just rang my doorbell with my leash and a plant to say thanks. What a beautiful gesture. I love North Winton Village!

According to…everyone, I should be watching Andor.

I was at a business today and the woman behind the counter said she processed my application for Penny through a rescue. That was 7 years ago. Of course, I had to show her a million pictures. Made my day. 💕

All of this. I covered him for a long time. He’s toxic and a terrible leader. More Democrats need to speak out.

“When someone’s most basic right of freedom is taken away, that person is entitled to at least some minimal process; otherwise, we all are at risk to be detained — and perhaps deported — because someone in the government thinks we are not supposed to be here."

Important from Friedman.

Democracies die this way.

Outrageous abuse of power. Free Ras Baraka!

Gone: “access to water and food for pregnant people, ensuring privacy for breastfeeding mothers, & mandating diapers & unexpired formula be stocked in holding facilities. They also instructed agents to process at-risk individuals as quickly as possible to limit time in custody.”

Love my neighbors. A little dog escaped and a dozen of us worked to get it on a leash I grabbed from my house. Took a while. The little rascal was not having it. Doorbell Vet tech led the effort. Doggie is now safe with owner. Teamwork!

Worcester mayor wants new ICE policy after chaotic arrest

When I was a very young reporter at WROC, I interviewed Victor about violence impacting young people. It was the first of many — and I always gained insights from him. He cared deeply about his work with teenagers and had a big impact on many lives.

My girls

A powerful op-ed by @emilyjaynef.bsky.social, the woman dragged out of Lawler's town hall. Wait til you read about her father...

My tulips out front are taking a beating so picked these hoping they’ll last through Mother’s Day dinner.

Someone is doing a text poll for mayor www.facebook.com/share/18sGLB...

“The new forecast sees 12.1 million international travelers, a 17 percent drop from earlier 2025 projections. The decline has been led by a drop-off in tourists from Canada…”

This is fun. Congrats to the White family.

Glad she came forward. There needs to be an investigation into police conduct here.

I can’t find any articles stating why an attendee was literally carried out by state police. I’m concerned state police were used this way.

Joe Morelle on the list.

“ICE officials last week told IP Valverde-Venegas has been living in the United States “illegally,” despite an immigration judge closing his immigration case nine years ago, allowing him to stay. A spokesperson said “several vehicle and traffic law violations” made him “amenable to deportation.””

The sign fairy paid me a visit

Great editorial on why NY’s laws regarding ballot access need to be reformed. The bar is too high, and this disenfranchises voters.

I don't want to read too much into this paragraph, but DeVay is notorious for secretly supporting non-endorsed candidates. And using endorsement as a cudgel against candidates he doesn't support. Lots of games. www.wxxinews.org/local-news/2...

"They were on their way to work. These are workers we've been organizing with for at least a year. An entire family was picked up in this raid, and other workers have been here for decades, some for several years. We're here to support them and let them know they're not alone in this process."

Proud to share that I’ve earned a Certificate in Public Leadership from the University of San Francisco through Elected Officials to Protect America. I’m grateful to join people from across the world working to create a more just & sustainable future.

“The public deserves to be heard about a project that depends on $20 billion in taxpayer subsidies to move forward. The county’s tight timetable appears to be designed to limit public participation and thus limit public input and opposition.”

I’m at a climate conference in DC, and the Hastings-on-Hudson mayor just said there’s a Westchester County Whats App group chat of women mayors. “Part therapy and part strategy.” I love that. I’m in some political group chats that keep you going.

“The review shows that despite the administration’s claims, many of the immigrants sent to El Salvador had entered the United States legally and were actively complying with U.S. immigration rules.” Incredible investigation. These men were kidnapped. www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...
