If you’re wondering how it is to make calls if you’re deaf/HOH/aphonic here’s an example. This happens I’d say 60% of all calls I make. The other 10% is people making fun of me. The rest is disconnections. Well I’d say I have 5% successful calls. It’s very very ableist and infuriating.

The reason, I think, Congress abdicated its tariff authority of that actually doing tariffs is hard. Tariff schedules have thousands of items that a deliberative body has to understand and negotiate. Easier to offload that work. (Trump’s tariffs are, unsurprisingly, blunt, incompetent, and lazy.)
