As part of a new feasibility study, the Illinois High-Speed Railway Commission is looking for public comment on a 220 mph high-speed corridor between Chicago & St. Louis. The route would be the backbone for a passenger rail network throughout Illinois. s.surveyplanet.com/gd7r2pdc

POTENTIAL NJ TRANSIT SERVICE DISRUPTION We're monitoring the situation. We will issue a formal statement next week if things come to a head. FOR MORE: www.njtransit.com/railstoppage

@allaboardohio.org's Beth Russell reminds us all that when advocates, elected officials, and community & business leaders are all on the same page - there isn't much we can't do. Right now, the future of passenger rail in the Buckeye State is looking a little brighter because of it.

Be like Jack. Ride the train! (Award-winning director, writer, and producer companion not required)

There is A LOT to get to this week and only so many characters to sell it - DOT v CAHSR, Eagle upgrades, Bradbury's 2nd stint under a Trump Administration, delays (oh the irony!) in the STB's OTP case, & we say goodbye to an Amtrak legend. #HotlineFriday www.railpassengers.org/happening-no...

The Boss (not THAT Boss) pens this piece for Streetsblog USA to hammer home the idea that we have been preaching from the mountain top for years: it's not that the train makes money, it's who the train makes money for (louder for those in the back of the room). usa.streetsblog.org/2025/02/10/o...
