Missing Kiel today and its homegrown band LUCY (which I caught live 3x). Seeing a pack of baby 20-somethings so plugged into grand prog sound made my heart sing. LUCY is also proof much cream can’t rise to the top under capitalism. Ck out 12:25. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWQV...

all this is both foolish and unnecessary

Flashing back to this time again and legit, this was a hugely traumatic experience. I find it bizarre how traumatic this was, and how it still sets me off. I think it was because writing was and is so much a part of who I am, and this whole experience felt like a physical assault.

Editing a report on Canadian innovation, and trying *very hard* not to add a sarcastic “all the best fucking people” comment bubble in the spot that talks about how the firms with the most capital right now are AI, Fintech and cryptocurrency shops...

The level of hatred these AI bros have for creative people I just do not understand

re-reading my entire 110k novel draft for the second time since April, marking up dozens of things I want to improve, and thinking about these people who leave ChatGPT prompts in the text of their ebooks if YOU don't wanna even wanna read the book you're creating, what's the point?

A dreary Sat night, so watching 2 movies by fave directors I've put off seeing since they came out bc I so dislike 1st and 2nd-billed dudes in both. Lisa Gerrard and Jan Garbarek (and less-billed other cast members) lifted The Insider up for me. Let’s see if Casualties of War will fare as well...
