how do I bookmark this on here

This is why we need more people with PhDs in Congress.

I will not be explaining any of my reskeets btw

I'm the one who spearheaded 23andMe updating its product to be more trans inclusive, including separating gender from sex assigned at birth during kit registration Happy to testify in front of MTG and teach her basic genetics And as a bonus, how to pronounce difficult words like "institution" 🙄

I wish she had been able to answer the colonization question. The indigenous population here (and many other places) recognizes more than one gender. Colonizers came in and wiped that out, so now we have people like MTG that doesn't know anything at all.

You are now in the Congressional record👏🏾👏🏾💕💚💕💚

I didn’t think @ravenscimaven.bsky.social could be more of a badass! Respect! Gender diversity is science!

I have to laugh at the question “what does colonization have to do with gender” because I literally have a whole lecture on that. Sadly I’m no longer teaching anymore, because universities don’t want people like me teaching that content.

I'm sure y'all have seen Marjorie Taylor Greene singling me out during a congressional hearing this week right? Hold my margarita. Today is a great day for science education.

Oh, I made a new YouTube video: youtu.be/eTxF5xMSbsY

Hey y'all! For a youtube video where I am breaking down the science of sex and gender if it is an hour long video essay would you rather it be broken up into parts or just one long video

A must watch!👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

A brilliant and engaging retelling of Andrew Wakefield's fraud. It's a story I know intimately. My children were both diagnosed with autism in the decade when that fraud dominated the discourse in Autism Land. Many of the autism parents I knew where I lived then were personal acolytes of that crook.

looking for a free and recent mitosis and meiosis animation for download. The HHMI BioInteractive ones are from 2001

I've been boiling this wild wild rice for what seems like centuries. why is it still not soft yet 🫥🫥

Carbon is such a good dog and he loves his bed, but every one I've gotten him he's torn up to pieces and the stuffing gets all over the place. He has a blanket that he drags around and sits on. Do any of you go without a dog bed? I'm thinking I should just upgrade his blanket.

In a world where people get their news from social media, I'm ready to help you build a trusted digital platform to communicate your science. Skip the hard part of trial and error with me as your guide. I've spent the past 15 years fine-tuning my strategy-- let's get yours done in a few months!

I'd love to guest lecture at a college or university in the DMV area. I can teach about biology (introductory or advanced cell/molecular topics) or communications (science communications or social media). My inbox is open for collaboration and networking! 🧪

I gave the inaugural Science Rocks keynote at Activation Capital. I spoke about my STEM journey (with many hilarious stories detailing how I became a scientist and science communicator). If you're interested in having me speak at your organization, you can visit my website at thesciencemaven.com.

Something about having a parent pass away that makes you do a lot of growing up basically overnight. Even as an adult.

Have y’all ever been a team captain with no teammates, and then had people upset that you weren’t playing as if you had a team? Because at this point I just have to laugh

Quick question: Does anyone follow me and have (cell or molecular biology) lab space available in the ATL area for a national media campaign for fair housing awareness? They want to shoot a scene in a laboratory.

I'm ready to level up at my first big girl job as a Director at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I'd like to collab on science/med ed & comms initiatives (we'd need funding). Email [email protected] w ideas! Let's connect & see if there's synergy. Learn about us at coresinai.org

Matrix metalloproteinases are multi-functional enzymes in inflammation. Both acute and chronic inflammation can be regulated by MMP activity. Matrix Metalloproteinase-9, also known as MMP9, along with elastase, appears to be a regulatory factor in neutrophil migration across the basement membrane.

I'm in a museum exhibit about GLITTER in HAMBURG, GERMANY!!! Those who've been following me for a long time know my fight to make space in STEM to be unapologetically YOU. I'm honored to be part of the history and culture of SHINING! Thank you for this recognition @mkghamburg.bsky.social

I'm pissing everybody off on Threads lmao

Bat signal to everyone following me on here to find me on threads. I have amassed a following on there that is made up almost entirely of complete assholes… at least that’s who interacts with my comments. It’s actually worse than the original dumpster fire bird app
