Our military is run by Christofascists who have declared war on their own people.

“The Trump administration has launched a comprehensive attack on knowledge itself, a war against culture, history, and science,” @adamserwer.bsky.social writes. “If this assault is successful, it will undermine Americans’ ability to comprehend the world around us."

Stop the @bsky.app bashing. We’re all under a tremendous strain. We’re not perfect. I block when I need to, but ignore most foolishness. Don’t become goaded into leaving a platform that’s doing almost all the right things. To organize for 2026, we need to stay in communication w/each other.

More than 32,000 low-paid AmeriCorps service workers were terminated in a sweeping budget cut. The move was one of the biggest government cutbacks since the Trump administration took office, but went largely unnoticed. Here’s why:

The graying of the U.S. And I don't mean hair color. 47's attacks on culture will result in less color & brightness, as poverty, inequality, lies, misinformation & anti-woke stupidity spreads, as science & climate research are deterred, cultural institutions shuttered, etc. lithub.com/on-the-lates...

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt addresses Defense Department firings by saying the Trump regime won’t tolerate leaking to the mainstream media about “sensitive information.” But, um, didn’t Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth leak military secrets to the editor of The Atlantic?

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you." - President Lyndon B. Johnson

WHAT DO THESE GENIUSES THINK WILL HAPPEN TO MANUFACTURING JOBS IN THIS COUNTRY IF THERE IS A RECESSION !?!?!?!?!?!!?

This “genius” genuinely believes that healthcare budget analysts can simply be reassigned to making toasters.

In @nytopinion.nytimes.com “Unless the president changes course or is forced to do so, these tariffs will hurt — and the pain is going to get worse,” the New York Times editorial board writes.

As Trump drives our economy over the cliff, I'm re-upping a piece I wrote last month. Why won't the media report the obvious fact that Trump is mentally unfit to be president? They had no problem raising questions about Biden, whose sin was old age, not greed, pathological lying and megalomania.

Yup!

War hero schools a chickenhawk.

The problem is sociopathic corporate greed. 🧐

Let’s keep in mind that 3 Supreme Court justices who often rule to increase the would-be dictator’s powers were chosen by the would-be dictator, who is also a convicted felon. This court is compromised. We can hope it will eventually say no to authoritarianism, but in any case it’s compromised.

Nearly 150 international students have had their visas revoked by the Trump administration. Many weren’t given a reason.

Closing rural post offices will do the same thing that closing rural schools has done: Empty out rural towns. Why? To sell off farmland for rock bottom prices to the oligarchs. Water and mineral rights and CAFOs polluting with impunity. It’s been the plan for decades.

The fact that the Department of Justice has not, and will never, launch an investigation into this massive national security breach tells you all you need to know about this lawless and profoundly corrupt Administration.

Turkey deported a BBC correspondent who was covering the antigovernment protests in the country, the broadcaster said on Thursday. “No journalist should face this kind of treatment simply for doing their job,” the chief executive of BBC News said.

Parents have sued St. Francis Area Schools, alleging the district unlawfully bans books based on the ideas or stories they contain. Students walked out of classes today to protest before reading banned books in front of the high school.

This is SO much worse than Hillary‘s emails—it’s not even in the same universe. Don’t let them make that bullshit comparison. She wasn’t sharing war plans. She wasn’t in an unsecured text group sharing classified documents and state secrets. She was actually qualified for her job and not a traitor.

If Biden would have approached crypto this way, via regulation rather than litigation , young men would have seen their networths skyrocket , and voted for Harris. Garry Gensler is why Harris lost young men and the election news.bitcoin.com/acting-sec-c...

What you have to understand about Pete Hegseth copying and pasting war plans into Signal is that it almost certainly means he’s got classified documents on his personal UNSECURE devices. Signal isn't on a secure device...are our war plans on his personal devices? @jeffreygoldberg.bsky.social

Top executives from PBS and NPR are getting ready for a hearing on Wednesday — ominously titled “Anti-American Airwaves” — organized by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene who leads a House subcommittee tied to Elon Musk’s efforts to cut federal spending.
