What is a world when you steal healthcare from the most vulnerable among us to make the richest Americans even richer?

Angie Craig: "I have no idea why we think it's a good idea to repeal a tax on silencers when we are going to feed fewer children in our country as a result of this. It's a moral damn failure is what it is."

My heart is with every immunocompromised person who’s being forced to watch as vaccine access is cruelly restricted for no reason whatsoever - making their world even smaller and more unsafe. Infuriating beyond words.

Katherine Clark: "At the end of the day, it is denial of healthcare for women in this country. And at the same time, we have a White House lamenting, 'Why aren't women having children? Maybe we'll give them $5k' ... the American family is put last."

Today’s a great day to remind everyone that Social Security has a fraud rate of 0.00625% That’s FAR lower than private sector retirement programs, btw.

just so y'all know if you apply for a job with the campaign and use AI to answer our questions, your application will be thrown in the trash yes, we can tell

Breaking WSJ: The newly appointed head of FEMA acknowledged in private meetings that with two weeks to go until hurricane season, the agency doesn't yet have a fully formed disaster-response plan. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

Since it's a topic of conversation today: At no point will any of my audiobooks be narrated by "AI." "AI" can't perform stories, it can only recite words. Both my stories and my listeners deserve better. All my audiobooks will be read and performed by actual people.

Founder folk were so worried that the American people would see them as bigger than life (NO KINGS!) that they insisted that portraits & statues of them were actual size—no bigger.

Over 500k veterans and 2½︎ million senior citizens rely on Meals on Wheels. The program costs around $3.7M and comes from taxpayer’s money. His $92M North Korean style military vanity birthday parade could fund Meals on Wheels for nearly 30 years.

This will sound weird but love yourself enough to write your own term papers.

The Truth Of The Matter And They Are Not Bringing Jobs Back….

Things the president of the United States said on meet the press today: He doesn’t know if he has to follow the constitution He’s fine with a recession Americans can do with less Small businesses are just “a couple of little businesses”

The reason why older generations burnt the shit out of their meat and boiled the shit out of their vegetables, was your kid died if you didn't. Medium rare steaks and roasted Brussels sprouts are a side effect of an intact food safety infrastructure

Was just telling the wife we haven't spent a dime on Amazon in 2025. We started boycotting before Christmas. And again, it's much less convenient. But i also get to spend money with people who live in my neighborhood. The way im treated locally feels like the way it was when i was a kid in the 70s

Another reminder that if you are tired of leaving voicemails for elected officials you can also see if you can fax them for free here, surely a very loud and unignorable way for them to receive communication faxzero.com/fax_senate.php

Have a wonderful Whiskers Wednesday and week from my tuxedo grandcat! #cats

The United States is the richest country in the history of the world. But who benefits from those riches? Consider: the richest 10% of Americans hold nearly 70% of the nation’s wealth – while the bottom 50% hold just 3%. See the problem?

Dr Peter Marks, "Vaccines have been studied very extensively for being potentially associated with autism" "That theory has been debunked" "One study in Denmark, over 600,000 children. It shows that if anything, children had a lower rate of autism than unvaccinated children"

Message to the women in my family today: “I absolutely beg of you, female elders of this family, to use your time to raise hell with your GOP reps.My Little and our young relatives depend on it.”

This seems bad. Does it seem bad to anyone else?

In case you want some sweet news today. I’m volunteering at the book fair at my kid’s school, and discovered Dav Pilkey paid for the whole thing. For the entire school. Every kid pre-k through fifth grade (the whole school) goes home with two free books.

Counterintuitive, but: this will crush the US wine industry. Booze gets to market on distributors' trucks. These fleets need volume to run efficiently. Subtract EU wine from the equation & it no longer pencils out. Any gains from less competition would likely be paid back out in margin loss.

I truly hope that one silver lining we take from this coup is that voters begin to understand that when you vote for president, you’re not just selecting one person. You’re selecting all the judges they’ll appoint, and the entire cabinet.

GOOD: Mallory McMorrow will launch a bid for the open Senate seat in Michigan.

This is what many cities in the U.S. looked like before the EPA. Why the heck would anyone celebrate deregulating it?

“The cost of tariffs isn’t just the cost of the tariff.”

I cannot stress enough that Social Security keeps elderly Americans from becoming impoverished, AND it keeps younger Americans from going bankrupt caring for their elderly family members. Without Social Security, society would collapse.

Pete Doocy coming up with a better one-line talking point for Democrats than 90% of Democrats. You don’t have to always speak in run-on paragraphs to try and fail to make your point. Voters remember lines like this, they don’t remember verbal policy essays.

Bernie Sanders: "I think this is a prelude not only to cutting benefits, but to privatizing Social Security ... why do you lie so much about Social Security? Why do you make it look like it's a broken system? The reason is to get people to lose faith in the system so you can give it over to Wall St"

If you haven't read Sinclair Lewis' IT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE, that's okay. It's good and short and makes a lot of excellent points about the creeping spread of fascism, but you've seen these same points retread over and over again since he wrote it... ...in 1935.

I’m grateful for @UFCW951’s trust & support in my campaign to represent them as Michigan’s next governor to make MI the best place to be a kid, raise a kid, & call home. I’m committed to making sure every Michigander is safe in the workplace- our economy should work for the people who power it.

Weingarten: It’s really only the Congress that can abolish the Department of Education. So, what the president can do is make government basically ineffective—not work—by a thousand cuts. And that’s what they’re doing.

Bernie is on FIRE!🔥

Scoop: ~33% of NWS offices no longer have sufficient staffing to safely keep 24/7 operations. Critically understaffed @nws.noaa.gov offices now include: Boston Miami Houston Omaha Wichita Kansas City Marquette, MI Sioux Falls, SD Rapid City, SD Cheyenne, WY www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

I enthusiastically endorse Diane Seltzer for DC Bar President. The election is coming up soon. If you are a DC Bar member please make sure to vote for her!
