“How's life treating you?” “It's not, Sammy, but you can.” Enjoy your beers George!

Credit where partial credit's due (looking at you Trojans 😠). While our rivalries stand toe-to-toe with the best of the FBS, the one thing the FCS doesn't have is a serious cross-country rivalry like Notre Dame and Southern California. Although soon enough we might be equal again.

Cignetti never was able to beat the Bison, so looks like the old adage “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” is in play.

Dust storm in Chicago is only the third biggest story this Spring. Number one of course being CSU naming a head coach. Followed closely by da Pope.

Hey FAMU folks, we hear ya

Which is the bigger ongoing management disaster along the Northeast Corridor right now: The FAA’s Newark radar system? Or the CAA?

Does the Pope 💩 in the woods? Don't know. But do know there's a non-zero chance he has 💩 in Villanova Stadium!

Correction: The FCS has had the last SIX US presidents and now has the friggen Pope.

The FCS has had the last two US presidents and now has the friggen Pope. JV what now?

UNH IS HEADING TO THE NEC! THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING. NOT A JOKE FOLKS. newhavenchargers.com/news/2025/5/...

Ciboire! *Stach* excuses à @cflreddit.bsky.social

Shout out to Stach over at @cflreddit.bsky.social. Absolutely incredible work growing the CFL community, the /r/CFL subreddit, and just generally being a cool dude and phenomenal advocate for Canadian football.

Un grand merci à Stack sur @cflreddit.bsky.social. Un travail incroyable pour développer la communauté de la LCF, le subreddit /r/CFL, et pour être un gars cool et un défenseur phénoménal du football canadien.

Might as well throw into the mix Sam Houston winning an NCAA sanctioned championship game played in May. Hopefully we never see a spring season like that again. Also PVAMU’s 80 game losing streak from ‘89-‘98. Another one hopefully will never be repeated.

How’d you rank these FCS held NCAA records by likelihood of never being topped? A. Steve McNair’s season average of 527.2 yds per game B. Quinn Epperly’s 29 consecutive completions in a game C. Lindsey Scott’s 71 TDs in a season D. Rashean Mathis’s career 682 interception yds

Big if true. William & Mary would be a game changer for the CAA. (Plus, something about the South’s Oldest Rivalry being played in the Patriot League feels inapposite.)

Gotta give Montana props when due. Despite just one legit semifinal appearance (title game at that!) in the last 15 years, the program turns out talented dudes. Hell, in the last four days they’ve seen three guys drafted!

Big shout out to the FCS dudes drafted by the CFl tonight. Congrats to Keelan White & Hayden Harris (Montana), Quincy Vaughn (UND), Ethan Vibert (SDSU), Joey Corcoran (UNH), and Ludovick Choquette (LIU)! Note: US players aren’t eligible but might be on neg lists. So stay tuned!

This is your reminder that the CFL is rife with FCS (and frankly at the top, Big Sky) QBs right now. Jake Maier, Vernon Adams Jr. and Bo Levi Mitchell, Dru Brown, Tyrie Adams, Jake Dolegala, Chris Streveler, Michael Hiers just to name some active.

Why wouldn't we want the former Jerry Rice winner to compete for Swag Kelly's job in Toronto? Plus, if former FCS to FBS QB Vernon Adams is a demonstration, the recipe for success exists!

All the best to them, but imagine the upcoming CFL draft w/ the late NFL draft Jerry Rice and Walter Payton QBs being available to take their talents north. Tommy could’ve been a Flutie level CFL QB. And Shedeur could try and redeem the nepo argument left by Swag Kelly.

Genuine question since it kinda sticks out this year and too lazy to dig into: How many times since 1973 before this year has the entire draft been pulled from D1 teams?

The idea of Cam Miller throwing to Tommy Mellott is absolutely hilarious. Well done Raiders 😅

Was a fun ride when it lasted. Still will be interested to see who is more likely to be kicking around the league in 5 years.

A slightly troubling trend for the FCS on this one. Jerry Rice winners (and 20, 21, 22, and 24 all transferred and/or entered the portal) 19: 1st round, #2 20: 1st round, #1 21: unknown, 3rd day maybe? 22: N/A (but unlikely) 23: N/A 24: N/A

Alright now. If somehow Cam gets drafted before Shedeur, you’ll be at risk of hearing a cackle.

Hey recruit (broadly generalized: never tweet actual ‘cruits): Why are you not considering the FCS? You’re seeing that your NFL chance outside the top 2-4 conferences is just as good in the FCS as anywhere else. And you can play for something real the fans will remember you for.

Fun to know that the three “best” conferences by pick through the first 2 rounds of the 2025 draft were the Mountain West, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, and the Sun Belt. (With Notre Dame showed in their right before the Fun Belt)

The funniest thing about Shedeur Sanders getting his number retired at Colorado has to be the fact that when they played NDSU he wasn't even the best QB on the field that day.

The evening’s still young, but day two of the draft and the MVFC still has any many draftees as the entire G6 combined 🤔

Now to wait and see what Villanova does.

apology for poor english where were you when caa die i was on /r/fcs post nonsense 'will and mary is patriot' 'no' and you??????????

Quick (new) trivia question to ask your friends in the future: which conference matched the number of first round picks in the 2025 draft as the combined G6 conferences?

NDSU has joined just Alcorn and Jackson State in having three first round draft picks during their time in the subdivision.

Grey Zabel going from projected late 2nd-3rd to the 18th overall pick is wild! Also as we keep seeing, even today if you’ve wanted to be drafted high you don’t have to rely on the FBS poaching you as top FCS talent. If you’ve got the talent, your talent will be found.

Still can’t get over the top 2 draft picks being crafted in the FCS. And before folks argue the FBS made them, remember: It was UIW who saw Ward’s potential and coached him into a Jerry Rice winner. And true, Hunter was a 5*. But FSU doesn’t coach him to a Heisman. JSU does.

If you really want to start some fights, throw something out there like: “Howard thinks they’re Hampton but are actually more Georgetown.” Or “Jackson State thinks they’re Alcorn but are actually more MVSU”
