Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Saw Crazy Rich Asians for the first time recently and now Wo Yao Ni De Ai is periodically going through my head. (It was a good movie. Oh man that Mahjongg scene. I've played enough I caught a couple things she was doing but aaaaa) (Also Cantonese cover of Material Girl what.)

Bugg Bearnard knows that even the schoolgirls can be the werewolf! Or, the big male werewolf can be the schoolgirl, if he wants! #art #noai #crayon #werewolf #wolf #schoolgirl

I was going to get up early and do things but then I accidentally spent an hour getting mad at politics on BS. I don't really comment because I don't want it coming back here, but some people definitely have some very bad and very emotionally motivated assumptions.

Dear The Internet: You cannot persuade someone of the rightness of your views by yelling at them that they are evil.

Our entry for 'hyperbole' is probably the greatest thing ever written in the English language.

Once I was reading a book where a werewolf got stuck TFed and ended up in a shelter. He was evaluating adopters to pick one to go home with. Several were rejected immediately because they reeked of loneliness. Now, yes, getting a dog just because you're lonely is a bad idea. 1/2

Hindsight Bias is a heck of a thing. In the past, everything is clear. A neat line of events, one causing the next. Looking at it, it's so simple! You feel like an idiot for not seeing how it would turn out. This is illusion. The truth is: nobody knows what they're doing at the time they do it.

as ever, if you ask people if they think art should exist for their enjoyment they will say yes, and then if you ask them if the people making the art should get paid for it they'll tell you "no that's a fake job"
