🌱 The climbing rose 'Sally Holmes CL' blooms in clusters. Each cluster of flowers remind me of bridal bouquets. It's a beautiful climber that handles part shade well, too. #Bloomscrolling #Garden #Zone8b

🌱 I seem to be growing a lot of harlequin ladybirds along with my plants. I don't know enough about asian ladybugs to know if they are good, or bad, for the Pacific Northwest. One thing is certain, my aphid numbers are significantly lower this year. #garden #bugs #Zone8b

🌱 The miniature roses are blooming. I enjoy their blooms, but don't know if I would add any more to my garden as they only bloom one time each year. I prefer roses that bloom in multiple flushes. I have miniature roses in red, cream, yellow and peach colors. #bloomscrolling #garden #Zone8b

🌱 A throwback to the days of old. This is Rosa gallica officinalis, also known as 'The Apothecary Rose'. During the middle ages, this rose was cultivated by herbalists and apothecaries. In terms of history, this rose is the oldest rose in my garden. #bloomscrolling #garden #Zone8b

🌱 This is 'Earth Angel'. I planted her in part shade just to test how she would do. My plant isn't overly bushy, but each stem has multiple roses and buds. She gets a lot of sun in the Autumn and Winter due to her placement beneath 3 deciduous trees. #bloomscrolling #garden #Zone8b

🌱 This rose - it's a new rose. Unnamed. Unregistered. Yet, it's as beautiful as the roses that come from well-known brand names. Bred by Frank Gatto of Raft Island Roses in Gig Harbor, WA. Frank has been breeding roses since the 1990s. His roses are gorgeous. #bloomscrolling #garden #Zone8b

🌱 I bought 5 'Marc Chagall' roses to be a transition rose between my yellows and a neighbor's pink. Plans changed, and the roses ended up in my back garden. I am enjoying the bright pops of color that these roses bring. The roses change color as they open from bud to bloom. #bloomscrolling #Zone8b
