It’s pretty cool that at this moment in time Canada may very well have the smartest heads of state in the world. Gotta enjoy it while we can.

Epic idea

Goodfellas. Never has a movie been as much thrilling and weirdly comforting as this. It is beautiful to look at and there’s are tons of background things happening it is endlessly rewatchable . A deeply NYC/US movie, I love searching for the deeper meanings and its relevancy to today.

This pleases me immensely because I know it will piss off Trump.

Let’s be honest. We really needed this. #4Nations #CanadaWins

Fuck yes go Canada! 🇨🇦

One of the hardest things to watch, as the United States circles the drain with the real potential of taking the world with it, is the unrelenting debate about whether the Democrats were too woke, or not woke enough? I would’ve voted for a literal potted plant to help keep Trump from power.

Couldn’t care less about that silly pig sport they play down south, but Philly will always have a special place in my heart. Cool people, beautiful urbanism and real grit. They don’t make cities like that anymore… Go birds!

In Canada, it’s probably going to be Carney vs Poilievre for Prime Minister, in a time of unprecedented economic and sovereignty threats from Trump. Carney hasn’t been a politician, and is one of the most experienced and respected economic experts in the world, known for intelligence & integrity.

It’s time for Canada to import Japanese zoning, Korean and Spanish transit construction practices, Dutch road design, and Swiss building codes.

Justin Timberlake, welcome to the war on cars!

We’re getting a horrific glimpse at the possible future. Widespread, cataclysmic climate change tragedies made worse by austerity and blamed on minorities by the Right, who will use their power to enable the wealth class as they continue to profit It doesn’t have to be this way. We can change this.

You either oppose Fascism or you pretend it's politics as usual.

?!

If you think about past aesthetic movements - even ones that are mocked in retrospect - they were beloved for years if not decades. The defining aesthetic of these years has been this one shitty AI style that stopped being cool about 30 seconds in, and everyone hates it now.

I know this makes me sound like an old fuddy duddy, but making my favorite animation list makes me realize just how much I miss hand drawn animation. The little imperfections, the warmth, the lines squiggling here and there. You could feel the humanity in every frame. Everything looks so clean now.

All I want is a cottage in the Scottish Highlands, a raging snowstorm, and Agatha Christie novel, a crackling fire, a kettle on the stove, and a basket of emotional support pastries.

Sometimes you just feel like train surfing

Oh, this? Just sunlight reflecting off a lake. A lake of liquid methane. On an icy world 1.4 billion kilometres away.

I think a lot about David Byrne showing up to Met Gala last year on his bike. We need to normalize doing this, and have secure bike parking everywhere.
