I’ve worked with law enforcement, public health experts, and colleagues to ensure that the scheduling of fentanyl analogues does not lapse. I’m glad that this legislation passed the House and is headed to the President’s desk.

I’ve heard directly from New Hampshire businesses about how deeply this administration’s reckless tariffs will hurt their bottom lines. I’m pushing legislation that would rein in the President’s indiscriminate, sweeping tariffs. www.wmur.com/article/bren...

Veterans answered the call to service and fought for each and every American regardless of our political differences. No veteran should ever be denied VA care because of politics. That’s not how it should work in our country. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

12% of New Hampshire’s rural hospitals are at risk of closing if the Republican budget scheme goes through with its devastating cuts to Medicaid. Families in our rural communities already face more barriers to getting the care they need. These cuts risk lives.

Recently I met with students enrolled at Job Corps in Manchester, which the Trump administration is working to shut down. These students have faced adversity: many were forced to drop out of high school, have parents battling addiction, or felt like they had no hope for success.

Happy Motorcycle Week, Laconia! Wishing everyone a safe and fun week. www.laconiadailysun.com/news/local/1...

FACT: Under the Republicans’ current budget, the poorest Americans will lose $1,600 a year while the wealthiest’s incomes would increase by $12,000. This analysis was completed by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, and the numbers don’t lie. apnews.com/article/trum...

Last week in Dover, I listened to powerful stories from Granite Staters who rely on Medicaid and are scared about severe cuts under the Republicans’ budget. I’ll never stop listening to the people I represent in Congress and fighting for the programs and services that they need and deserve.

Bedford’s Noah Richardson received a Congressional Award Gold Medal for his achievements and leadership. Congratulations Noah!

This week I met with the New Hampshire Food Bank and heard how proposed cuts to SNAP would cause Granite State families to go hungry. Thank you to the New Hampshire Food Bank for the important work that they continue to do to fight food insecurity across our state.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers and father-figures here in New Hampshire! Wishing everyone a happy day with family and friends.

On the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army, we recognize the Army’s important role in defending our country. Thank you to all who have served and those currently serving.

From introducing legislation to rein in the President’s tariffs to meeting with the NH Food Bank, catch up on my week below. ⬇️

I’m very grateful to Lucas Young, his mom Heather, and their entire family for sharing their story with me this week. Their family relies on Medicaid for Lucas to get the care he needs. They’re incredibly worried about what cuts to the program will mean for his care and well-being.

I was honored to join the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard today to mark their change of command. Thank you to Captain Oberdorf for your service at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and I look forward to working with Captain Nice as he assumes command.

Iran is a terrorist state that has long fueled death and destruction aimed squarely at the United States, Israel, and our allies. A nuclear-armed Iran is a severe threat to America’s national security, global stability, and the existence of Israel.

By passing the rescissions package, House Republicans prioritized DOGE and President Trump’s agenda—not what’s best for the American people or our national security. These sweeping cuts undermine public media, our ability to foster democracy, and stop the spread of diseases. I voted no.

It’s #WomenVeteransDay. We must always remember to thank women veterans and service members for their bravery, service, and sacrifice. The New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen has a new Women in Military Service memorial, take a look:

It’s been 9 years since the senseless, deadly shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando. Today we remember the 49 people murdered and honor their lives by continuing to fight against LGBTQ+ hate and to put an end to gun violence. #PulseRemembrance2025

Permanently scheduling deadly fentanyl analogues as Schedule 1 will ensure law enforcement retains important tools they need to tackle the opioid crisis and hold traffickers accountable. Yesterday I spoke on the House floor urging my colleagues to support legislation to do just that. ⬇️

Experience New Hampshire brings Granite State culture to our nation’s capital by highlighting our small businesses and their unique products and services. Great to see everyone yesterday!

I am headed to the floor to once again vote NO on the Republican budget scheme that would strip away health care and cut food assistance for New Hampshire families.

Honored to receive Q Street’s Equality Champion Award. I’ll always fight for members of the LGBTQ+ community to have the same rights, responsibilities, and protections as every other American.

Starting at 10:00 AM, the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity will conduct a Legislative Hearing on 17 pieces of legislation. To watch @repchrispappas.bsky.social deliver his opening remarks: www.youtube.com/watch?v=meGj...

More than 26,000 people in New Hampshire live with Alzheimer's. We must continue fighting for a world without Alzheimer's and other dementias. NIH research is critical to this fight and so many others. I’ll keep listening to experts and working alongside advocates for progress & a brighter future.

The Republicans’ budget scheme is not just a fight in Washington. It’s an attack on hard-working families' ability to put food on the table and seniors getting the health care they need. It’s real and personal for so many. Let’s continue to hold the line.

Health care is so important for New Hampshire families, and in Congress I remain committed to delivering results that improve health care access and lower costs. I met with hospital leaders from New Hampshire to discuss how we can strengthen care, bolster our workforce, and increase affordability.

Sat down with New Hampshire small business GenTent yesterday to hear about the impact of tariffs on their business. I’m supporting two efforts to force a vote on legislation to overturn the President’s harmful tariffs on Mexico and Canada. I’ll keep working to do more.

Congratulations to the Gibson Center on serving your 2,000,000th meal! This milestone comes from decades of hard work and dedication to helping community members. Great work, and thank you. www.conwaydailysun.com/news/local/g...

Yesterday I joined the Manchester Choral Society ahead of their Sunday performance of Considering Matthew Shepard. This oratorio tells Matthew Shepard’s story and honors his life and legacy as we continue to combat anti-LGBTQ hate and violence this Pride month.

Hi everyone! Here’s five things from my week in my latest Rewind video.

I spoke on the House floor about how Republicans' budget scheme is putting school meals for hungry kids and food assistance for working families at risk. I’ll continue to speak out for Martha from Somersworth, Catherine in Manchester, and everyone reaching out to my office who is scared.

Great to see Dr. Laura Landerman-Garber and folks with the Holiday Cards for Our Military Challenge in D.C. this week! Learn how to send your own card here: militaryholidaycardchallenge.com

Today marks the 81st Anniversary of D-Day, the Allied invasion of Normandy that sparked European liberation during World War II. We must take time to recognize the brave heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice that day to defeat fascism in Europe. They will never be forgotten.

In New Hampshire, our way of life is rooted in our natural environment. We must protect it and continue to pave the way for a more sustainable future. #WorldEnvironmentDay

The Trump administration is once again wreaking havoc directly in New Hampshire communities by ending Job Corps. This program helped young adults get an education, find good-paying jobs, and join the workforce. Granite Staters will be worse off without it. www.wmur.com/article/depa...

Today on the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, we’re holding a hearing on the future of Coast Guard programs. Tune in ⬇️ www.youtube.com/live/fUQEhGk...

Yesterday I spoke on the House floor to honor the life and memory of Hope Makris, a pioneering businesswoman and community leader from Laconia. Hope leaves a profound legacy after a century of life and hard work. Watch here ⬇️

Last night the House passed the bipartisan ThinkDIFFERENTLY About Disability Employment Act. I helped introduce this bill to provide individuals with disabilities equal access to pursue small business ownership and employment opportunities. pappas.house.gov/media/press-...

IMPORTANT: There’s an air quality alert in Rockingham County due to wildfires in Canada. All Granite Staters should pay attention to updates. Stay safe. www.wmur.com/article/cana...
