Said socks, now finished.

Have to admit at first glance was quite excited by the idea of a Stainless Steel Rat themed yarn.

I know this isn’t the point of this, but: most women do not want to have five or six children, and there are no levers you can pull to make that happen except “outlaw abortion, outlaw contraception, take women out of the workforce and put them back in the home”.

This is one of the hills I will die on. Staycations are when you stay in your own home and do touristy things in your own local area!

Brilliant night watching @robinince.bsky.social at the Rondo in Bath tonight.

The Bear s2 finale and Pete is a *saint*.

Unrelated to last post, but, oh, when people manage to misspell your name in an email reply and it's just so annoying and they just don't care to even look for two seconds at the text in front of them...

"Stop mangling my name to annoy the dog"

"Women are not physically inferior versions of men, and our function is not one of broodmares. We repudiate the equation of women with reproductive function as profoundly misogynistic." Last day of the show today! More info here www.fringeartsbath.co.uk/free

I've been really excited about this but rubbish at promoting it. A thing! I made! In an actual art exhibition!

Just a couple of days left to see my jumper design at Fringe Arts Bath at the Old Post Office, Bath. It's part of the Free For All exhibition. The jumper itself is part of an upcoming personal project of mine, inspired by local landscapes and the (lack of) land rights in the English countryside.

43-year-old cis woman who has been through pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding here. Somehow none of that made me transphobic.

Happy Pride Month! Yesterday I released the zine version of my Progress pattern to my free Patreon! In a couple of days once I finish the video tutorial, I’ll get the pdf pattern version up on rav and payhip (free) but the zine version will be exclusive to Patreon. www.patreon.com/posts/130454...

Rewatching Age Of Ultron and while I think it's much better than we thought at the time... Loving that the Iron Legion aren't even speaking the language of the country they're "peacekeeping" in.

Watching Final Destination 2 for the first time in twenty years and every time a scene starts I remember exactly how the death that ends it happens.

First thing my partner said when he woke up this morning was "I reckon whoever wrote Lilo & Stitch had a collie".

Just rewatched Lilo & Stitch for the first time in years and oh he is exactly Stanley.

Is there any actual explanation for the sheer amount of food Sydney eats in s2ep3 of The Bear? It's insane!

I've been chipping away for a while now on a Guardian Long Read about how Netflix and other streamers' algorithms and data are shaping cinema. I'm looking to chat to directors, producers and screenwriters about their experiences working with these companies - on or off the record. Anyone keen ?

This is horrific. We need to decriminalise abortion.

Enjoying Party In The City in Bath

Reminded once again that live music is the most life-affirming thing.

Doing another rewatch of The Bear and have just hit s1 ep7.

Felt incandescently angry, might delete later. enewman.co.uk/rage-rage-ag...

Some very Sensible Centrist Big Brain Politics to say everyone should have to speak English in the UK, which is - legally - a multilingual nation.

Anyway, tomorrow I'm running the Bristol Half Marathon for Cancer Research UK. It's going to be uncomfortably warm and I'm recovering from a cold, so could be interesting! Please sponsor me here ajbellgreatbristolrun2025.enthuse.com/pf/rhian-dri...

Earliest picture I could find of me running, from June 2020. My actual first run (Couch to 5k) was 10 May 2020 - five years ago today! Literally life changing.

Watching Alien Vs Predator and the guy who looks utterly like a Sutherland is actually the grandson of a Doctor.

Thank you @ucu.org.uk women. Excellent statement. www.ucu.org.uk/media/15028/...
