Gutted that #TheWheelOfTime has been cancelled, the latest season was a big improvement on the first two but I guess it was too little, too late. Maybe the story was just too big to work as a TV show. At least unlike many cancelled shows, people can always read the books to find out how it ends.

Ah yes, that legendary #DoctorWho author, Terrance Dick...

New video - I review the latest #DoctorWho episode, The Interstellar Song Contest: youtu.be/KnALLjEPyYU?...

Take the fictional character quiz and post the first four that you know: openpsychometrics.org/tests/charac... All massive nerds, scarily accurate!

New video - I review season 2 of Andor, the latest and best Star Wars spinoff: youtu.be/_RmawyDNzLY?...

Watching Rogue One again after Andor feels very different. Betore it was all building up to A New Hope, now it's the culmination of everything Cassian's been through for years, like the big-budget movie finale to the whole series. Magnificently planned out.

Watched the original Jurassic Park for the first time in years. Completely forgot Samuel L Jackson was in it. Very straightforward story, dinosaurs only appear fleetingly so always make an impact, it's a shame the sequels tried to go bigger and ended up being nowhere near as good.

New video - I review the latest episode of #DoctorWho - The Story & The Engine: youtu.be/QU-GbCo6OS4?...

Biggest surprise of the new #DoctorWho was the return of Jo Martin as the Fugitive Doctor, basically plugging her new audio series. "My story might be finished one day, if you subscribe to Big Finish!"

Watched Star Trek: Section 31. Feels more like Suicide Squad crossed with a bad rip-off of Guardians Of The Galaxy, some very annoying characters, a terrible story and Michelle Yeoh is wasted. I thought Discovery was bad but somehow this is even worse.

New video - I review the latest episode of #DoctorWho - Lucky Day: youtu.be/PvbQSvYO2Q8?...

#StarWars jokes for #StarWarsDay : Q. What do you call a droid who sexually harasses women? A. Artoo-Metoo! Q. What do you call a rebel leader who fights Godzilla? A. Mon Mothra! Q. What do you call a Sith Lord who owns a department store and a food court? A. Darth Mall!

New video - I review the surprisingly good new Marvel movie, Thunderbolts: youtu.be/4mfblO2dGuw?...

Love how on the French planet in Andor they speak a language that sounds French but really isn't. It's like they're all saying "haw-hee-haw-hee-haw".

So the #DoctorWho season finale will not be released early on iPlayer as it would spoil the surprise ending. Guess that means he's definitely regenerating then, good to know!

New video - I review The Well, the latest episode of #DoctorWho - youtu.be/STYTjkW8ppM?...

Finished watching Adolescence on Netflix. A very hard watch, technically brilliant but emotionally devastating, with incredible performances throughout. Made me very glad I went to school in the age before social media.

Another strong episode of #DoctorWho tonight (well, this morning) - not quite up to the standard of Midnight but that's a very high bar. The "Behind you!" concept could easily have come from a movie like Smile or It Follows, and there was a wonderfully creepy, paranoid atmosphere throughout.

New video - I review Gardens Of The Moon by Steven Erikson, volume three of Malazan Book Of The Fallen: youtu.be/M773nfENzEU?...

My current videogame obsession is Lorelei And The Laser Eyes, a mesmerising puzzle game where you explore a massive hotel full of locked doors and fiendish puzzles to be solved, with numerous hidden secrets and minigames. One of the best games I've played in years.

Meant to watch the first three episodes of Andor one per day, but couldn't resist binging them. I'd forgotten how good it was, stunningly detailed worlds and well-developed characters, it's peak Star Wars. Could have done without the Planet Of The Idiots interlude but never mind.

Fantastic episode of #TheLastOfUs - I knew it was coming from playing the game, but the extra buildup made it all the more tragic, and the big battle scene was on a whole other level to anything in The Walking Dead. And they've barely started the game story, so much more to come!

New video - I review the latest #DoctorWho episode, Lux: youtu.be/dtc2oBWcA2U?...

Latest #DoctorWho episode was like a bizarre mash-up of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Ring and Moonlighting. The metafictional scenes may be controversial but worked in context, and it all looked amazing. It's early days but it could end up being one of the best of the season.

New video - I review the excellent season finale of #TheWheelOfTime #RenewWoT youtu.be/5wjKkHW5Vnw?...

Finally watched the #DaredevilBornAgain finale. Darkest episode so far, great to see Daredevil and Punisher teaming up and Karen back at last. Sets up season 2 nicely, hopefully some of the Defenders will show up to help take the city back.

New video - I review every episode of Black Mirror season 7: youtu.be/gQLIwik5WHI?...

Finished watching season 7 of Black Mirror. The final two episodes were my favourites, but the quality overall was very strong, with memorable performances from Peter Capaldi and Emma Corrin among others. It really is one of the most consistent anthology shows ever made.
