I was recommended this place by someone else. Got here and found a lot of people I followed elsewhere. Hope to get reintroduced asap.

There's a single spot in the carpark at work that gets decent shade. There's competition to use it so when you get in your car at the end of the day it's not like a furnace. We need more trees in the carpark at work.

Corps is pronounced core. Not corpse. I've sat in a meeting today with someone interested in our esprit de corps. I've seen too many horror movies to not envisioned all sorts of spirited corpses.

Just saw a magpie chase a squirrel out of a tree. Not your usual animal vs animal chase and I'm sad I missed the resolution to the match up. Anyone know who would win?

"Can I see your pump?" "No." "Oh, go on, Tom said you had one. Let me have a look." "Show me your pancreas first." <blank expression> "No." Should have been the beginning, middle and end of the conversation. My medical equipment isn't your prison tour.

Someone sent me two coasters that say: "Magnificent human". The note said "Saw these and thought of you." It wasn't signed. I don't know if they're being ironic.

Got the car washed this morning. Just looked at it a minute ago. Not a single bird missed the side, windows or roof. I’d just like things to be nice for 24 hours.

It’s been dry the last 10 days. It is now hammering it down. The village will be mostly submerged tomorrow.

Pump sensor failed at 02:13 this morning. So, I've been awake for nearly 10 hours. It's been a long week already.

Dear LinkedIn people. Please don't look at my profile if you've got yours hidden. It's deeply creepy. Actually make an effort to get in touch, don't just creep and leave me wondering what type of psycho is viewing my profile. Thanks.

What is Medtronic doing? I order in Feb, May, Aug, and Nov. Received an email saying my order was created and dispatched. The auto system is every 90 days, it’s been 81. I avoid it because I don’t trust the company. The rep said, “Yeah, it happened because reasons.” Not an answer! This is NOT okay.

LinkedIn. What in my profile suggests my experience would be a good fit for "Training AI voice generation in the English language"?

My Dad showed up at my Mum's house. He wants graduation pictures of myself and my brother. Those photos, if they exist, mine don't because I didn't stay still long enough for anyone to take one, are nearly 30 years old. I've told her to make sure she keeps her phone on her and 999 ready. Creepy.

Sensor failures are fun. They can happen anywhere, at any time. This one happened at 02:00. I can’t get back to sleep and doom scrolling isn’t fun. Fvckety, fvckety, fvck.

Chorizo, tinned corned beef and cheese on toast. If I had Worcestershire Sauce to splash on top it might just take it over the top.

My job is basically poacher turned game keeper. During my time as a poacher - figurative, not literal, we basically cut corners because it made a day's worth of work take not a day. Now, I'm constantly amazed at the poacher's ability to skirt around any rules we put in place, not because we're evil,

The hospital I use is a teaching hospital. Student nurses and HCAs are always identified as students when the staff they're shadowing introduce them. The medical students are introduced as Dr. They're not, you can tell from the way they interact. Why don't the doctors introduce them as students?

I wfh on Fridays. I can hear someone nearby playing the LotR theme on a flute. They're being accompanied by a recorder. Usually the recorder sounds like seagulls deciding whose chips to steal. Not sure if it's because I love the tune that this actually sounds pretty good.

I'm listening to a narration. The narrator sounds like, but definitely isn't David Attenborough. Every time they reach a certain word the pronunciation is different. Not only does it take me out of what they're doing but it also highlights the fact Does AI provide stable pronunciation?

😐Pump sensor failed. Not surprised. It's like rainy bank holidays or train delays. At least this time I have a way to get somewhere clean enough to change it. Just without it I'm going to be running high for hours until the system snaps back some time tonight. FMAL I'm tired of the unreliability.

Anecdote. Statistic. Soundbite. Media training for politicians. Without the consultancy fees.

Is there a single washing machine in the world where the countdown on it is in actual minutes? Mine starts at 137. The wash takes just over an hour.

There’s always an email that arrives at about 20:00 on Friday. I can either leave it, then lie awake thinking I should deal with it. Or sort it and go to bed frazzled. One day words will be had. Probably at 20:00 on Friday.

My pump started squawking. FML this particular alarm is never good. Looked. The sensor malfunctioned. I tend to carry a replacement and kit with me because they break down regularly. Assembled the kit, then had to think where I could change the sensor. Not enough room in my car. Toilets - noooooooo.

Was browsing YT just for something to do. Saw a video related to 2001 A Space Odyssey and thought it might be about a book in the series I hadn’t read.

Dear LinkedIn, Please monitor comments. "Love this" when it's attached to videos of a crane penduluming and the load falling on vehicles with people in them. Seriously?
