My sister’s new episode of Sea Change is phenomenal! From the Gulf’s “dead zone” up the Mississippi, it’s a great overview of fertilizer’s impact on our waters. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/s...

Until proven otherwise, the Permian Basin is busted. The wells aren’t coming back. Good riddance, I hope the coming economic uncertainty sinks the rest of the industry.

An infuriating reminder that President Biden refused to use his authority to declare a climate emergency or energy emergency in order to fast track renewables. The IRA was never enough and an emergency declaration could’ve focused on direct support for people, not just tax credits.

The Oil&Gas industry is not happy about the direction we're headed in. Comments from the Dallas Fed survey of industry stakeholders indicate that US production is likely going to drop. Not sure if that's the best plan to reduce emissions, but, it might happen. www.dallasfed.org/research/sur...

Governor Janet Mills is a badass. Maine is wise to have chosen her to lead in this time. Dirigo!

The new Mark Rober episode is alarming to watch. Mark was great but, the Tesla’s autopilot was catastrophic and it was hard to watch the car hit a child-size mannequin in almost every test. The Waymo tested perfectly, so that’s nice! How is Tesla autopilot allowed? youtu.be/IQJL3htsDyQ?...

My new favorite Marin kids bike that we carry at the shop! 🇺🇦

One thing both administrations have in common: they both love shitty, overpriced EVs that make America less safe and don’t offset emissions or air pollution much at all.

Massachusetts should legalize plug-in solar immediately. This tech has been wildly successful in Europe and we are way behind. pv-magazine-usa.com/2025/03/05/b...

“Maine Sea Grant’s federal investment of $1.5 million in 2023 resulted in an economic benefit of $23.5 million.” This would be an incredible opportunity for impact investors and institutions to fill the critical gaps created by this administration’s punitive cuts.

This is the way. Pay landowners to manage their upstream holdings to encourage beaver repopulation. A small upfront investment pays off over 10:1 returns in water quality and flood/fire mitigation. vtdigger.org/2025/02/27/b...

The future for ebikes will be wild! Internal balancing systems will ensure that bikes won't crash and bike commuting will become effortless. Efficient and well-suited for urban environments, autonomous/"hands-free" 2-wheeled vehicles are set to boom. youtu.be/ATWR25xGF74?...

I've enjoyed exploring the data from this new @gristnews.bsky.social tool for tracking BIL/IRA funding. For those interested in creating some great talking points for calling your Rep and Senators, it is an invaluable resource. grist.org/accountabili...

Ironically, by giving up on global partnerships, the United States may accelerate global adoption of renewable energy and climate action. As the Global South develops deeper economic relationships w/ China, and the solar/wind/storage revolution will accelerate. rmi.org/the-global-s...

In the 1900's, insurance companies played a key role in writing building codes for fire safety, auto safety regulations and workplace protections. Today, as before, the industry is struggling to remain profitable as claims skyrocket but, they could step up again. www.forbes.com/councils/for...

Modular housing is about to boom in Maine. Sustainable, affordable and quick to build! Very excited to watch our startup Dooryard 🚀! We’ve completed two builds and have many more on the horizon. www.pressherald.com?p=7417685&uu...

It’s been 2.5 years since Massachusetts passed ebike rebates and the state still hasn’t issued any program details. Our leaders are uninterested in actual progress and our state agencies are beholden to the industries that hold us back.

My youngest son wouldn’t be here today w/o research funded by the NIH. His life, and the lives of countless other children, still relies on the miracles performed every day at Children’s in Boston and across 🇺🇸. These cuts to the best and brightest in our medical fields cannot stand.

My sister Carlyle has been telling extraordinary stories about the future of coastal communities in America. Her episodes about insurance have been mindblowing and this week’s should be required listening for homeowners across the country. open.spotify.com/episode/2Xcf...
