I mean, why make it sound like a 2.2? What’s the rationale? If cycling trades off its lengthy history, this feels like an own goal.

Tbh with today’s current prices, Rapha is a relatively affordable brand where the qualify is pretty consistent. Hard to find!

While the 00s teenager in me is enjoying all the videos of Korn’s headline at Download, I do wonder; have there not been any new good bands to make it big in the last 20 years? Or is Download just mainly populated by 37 year old Dads, nowadays?

This is demonstrably stupid. I’m about as open borders as you get, but even I know that there is too much friction in labour to allow for efficient allocation of labour. Or, more plainly, just because you have liberal immigration borders doesn’t mean someone wants to live there 👍🏻

The whole world is grappling with this problem and not a single policy has moved the dial. The only correlation is an inverse relationship between wealth and fertility. And I don’t think impoverishment is really the answer.

Been using a heart rate monitor when cycling now for 18 months, having done 15 years without even a computer. Turns out the reason I was absolutely buried after longer rides was my idea of zone two is actually deep in zone 3. Also means I wasn’t that fast - I just hurt a lot!

We can’t afford the VAT rises (that are less than the prices rises we have put in over a student’s time at our school) but can afford profligate legal challenges
