I should be a “Survivor” executive producer. I have an idea for season 50. If a tribe is shorthanded at a challenge, instead of having the other tribes make players sit out, they should be allowed to draw extra help from a bench including people like Boston Rob and even Jeff Probst. I have spoken!

My mother routinely stocked Crisco. I wonder if that behavior was driven by ad campaigns such as this. If she’d ever served us pineapple chunks on sticks, I would suspect she might have even seen this specific ad in 1950.
