Achievement unlocked: Watching a 90s yaoi hentai OVA on Facebook.

I'm reading volume 9 of Last Game, and I'm honestly just ready to be done with it. I don't want two more volumes. It feels so artificially dragged out.

We adopted her 11 years ago this month, and she was somewhere between two and five years old then, so our dog is quite old now. Wisdom has not seemed to come with age for our girl Mabel, however, who keeps begging to go outside into the humid 90+ degree weather that is going to kill her.

Three cheers for central air conditioning on this stupidly hot day. I honestly don't know how I'd survive without it.

the younger generations need to discover the sacred texts

Whew. I'm all caught up on the English release of How Do We Relationship?. Now I get to wait for the final two volumes to come out.

I've said before that lesbians in a BL is a mark of quality, but I have to say that supportive sisters with a bit of an edge are a very close second. A sibling willing to fight the world or drive the getaway car for the MC's happiness is a lovely thing.

One of my least favorite kind of social media posts is the "foreign tourists do this annoying thing in Japan." Like, grats. Tourists are super annoying everywhere you go. You're not special, and it doesn't justify being anti-immigration.

Ooh, let me play too. It's way too much to list in alt text, but I've seen 138 of these 227 anime, and my hit rate goes up as the chart moves towards the present. I listed everything I've seen some of, so there are some drops in here. Template from anime-sedai.egoist.dev

Happy Pride! Steve and Lucas browse through some queer manga in celebration.

If you can only get English readers to pay money for merch or paper copies of manhwa, like I'm seeing someone claim, you'll probably make more money addressing that in some way than you will chiding people to buy chapters.

Nothing makes me feel like more of a crank than people listing subtext shows as answers to questions asking for BL or yuri. Put down the fanfiction, and read/watch some stuff that commits to being queer instead of making you squint.

What I mean when I say I want masculinity without toxicity

I didn't really start watching anime until I was nearly 40, so my first BL was also one of the first series I watched while it was airing. Starting off with Given isn't a bad way to go, though. My first yuri was Bloom Into You, another great one.

i hate clickbait ads 😂. This was on the microsoft weather app. reached 'Threatening Shitpost' levels

A popular shoujo YouTuber put up a tier list of the top 100 shoujo manga on MAL/Anilist, and I had to take a crack at it myself. It was too much to do the titles in alt text, and I can't even read half of them myself, but the top tier of Yona, Lovesick Ellie, and House of the Sun is the key info.

This, this! Is why I’m telling you to take this and similar accounts about as seriously as Bronx Zoo Cobra. Fake-ass Qanon style numbers station garbage is about luring you into belief and the conviction you’re doing something by believing in a totally made up thing. Actively not good.

I know a lot of folks like this account. But this is a wild, and unhelpful, exaggeration--it's a resistance version of sean spicer. It veers into #resistanceporn and trades accuracy for clout, like other "blue maga" grifters on here. Pls consider finding other sources of inspiration/news/motivation

I'd love for someone who isn't me to go through and find out which subscription platforms have the most BL, yuri, and shoujosei. The main reason I don't sign up with any of them is the lack of anything I want to read. They're usually all shounen and seinen with a dash of shoujo romance for color.
