Calls the GOAT status of a lot of recent big drinkers into question. Are they genuine talents or merely bright spots in an otherwise lackluster league? Losty, Behan, Lynch, these guys put up the numbers they did when even the average stool minder was sinking a dozen pints easy. Much to consider.

One of the small-talkisms I've absorbed for situations like today (rain after a protracted dry spell) is "The land was crying out for it". I kind of love the casual animism of it, especially in the city where 'The Land' mostly refers to window boxes.

Last thing I will say about the Garron situation but has anyone deciphered what he means by 'new kinds of drugs' being out there? Has he been exposed to some arcane wizardry in the influencer sphere or does he think when a new nickname for Molly pops up it's a new compound?
