Okay wait I go into the woods for three hours and come back to I'M A MOUSE DOCTOR??? It just keeps getting better

I love bad-weather birding. 50 and raining on June 3? Hell yeah, let's go

You shot the Olympics? Well *I* shot the Duke's Mayo Bowl (🫶)

A beautiful moment with some elk in front of Mount Moran a little after sunrise in Grand Teton National Park a couple weeks ago 💚 #mammals

🗣️ FOLKS! We’ve got a 2-for-1 warbler special! That’s right- twice the #AwesomeBirds for the already low price of one ($0)! Do you recognize these buzzy boys???

"Was it something I said?" For #twosday, another one from the backlog. An American goldfinch and snow bunting enjoy seed from a bird feeder in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. 🪶

It is very hard to work when there are birds!!

I'm editing some photo backlog and revisiting my afternoon with this beautiful bird from back in February 🥰 I think it ate a snack on this perch because I see a drop of blood there 👀 #birds

girls rule

Errands you can run by bike: picking up 7lb of cat food and 8.5lb of cat litter. 25 minutes to get there by bike instead of 10 minutes by car, but I'm in a much better mood 😊

I saw a neat bird this morning! This is a black x eastern phoebe hybrid. It doesn't have the clean white chest of an eastern phoebe, nor the all-dark chest of a black phoebe. 🪶

I meannnn 🥺🥺 #birds

Watching these cliff swallows fly to and from their nests under the dam at Grand Teton National Park was unexpectedly one of the highlights of my trip. They were active all day, but around sunset they got SUPER active. I could have watched them forever. #birds

me when the workweek ends

One thing I like to experiment with in my photography is to try to capture the *experience* of being in a place. I tried to do that here with these two shots of other photographers photographing sunrise at Oxbow Bend last weekend.

Taking a break from Grand Teton photos to share this film shot of sandhill cranes in Nebraska that I took on my road trip from Michigan to Colorado back in April! 🪶🎞️

I saw grizzly bears for the first time over the weekend and this beautiful lady, grizzly #610, was my first. 😍🐻 I learned you can recognize her by the dark scar over her right eye. #mammals

When you reluctantly photograph the thing everyone photographs and... you guess you understand. (sunrise at Oxbow Bend in Grand Tetons)

Watching these cliff swallows at sunset was one of my favorite moments of the trip 💜🪶

I didn't expect to get to photograph one of my favorite birds in Tetons, but here is a cuuute little ruby-crowned kinglet for your viewing pleasure #birds

Quoth the raven, "givememore" (do not feed the wildlife in national parks, or anywhere) #birds

An American white pelican I saw in Grand Tetons over the weekend 🌊🪶
