really interesting watching Alex Jones flip on Peter Thiel. Jones' InfoWars used to chase Thiel around at Bilderberg Conference, accusing him of being a globalist pursuing a new world order

wut da hell is this rain

love to see a certain someone complain about federal spending and raising the debt ceiling, while simultaneously having banks sell off debt for his companies, at least one of which was partially purchased with billions of dollars of debt

I wrote a story in 2014 about a digital payments startup called Clinkle. At the time, a source provided me with photo of Clinkle CEO Lucas Duplan burning (fake) money with Richard Branson. It became a metaphor after Clinkle crashed. Now Duplan filed a DMCA takedown to get it removed from Google.

Cuts have consequences, illustrated. As seen on TV 📺

Musk is trying to signal that he's back at his businesses. But at Tesla, he was so checked out that a board member had to prep him for meetings, and he didn't ask to be briefed on tariffs until a few days before the earnings call. with @rmac.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/06/02/b...

New: Before April's earnings call, Elon Musk was in Palo Alto for a rare meeting at Tesla. He wanted a briefing on the effects of tariffs, alarming some execs because Trump had started implementing them in Feb. The incident showed just how checked out he had become. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/02/b...

honestly props to David Pogue here

Trump withdrew Jared Isaacman's nomination for the top NASA job because he claims he only learned of Isaacman's donations to Dems. But Trump has long been informed of the political donations, deepening the intrigue around the removal of a close Musk ally. Our latest: www.nytimes.com/2025/06/01/u...

This is a big deal. Isaacman, the NASA nominee, is a massive SpaceX booster who has paid millions to fly on the company’s rockets. Musk has been out of the admin for a day and Trump is already coming for a main ally. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/31/u...

it's not a stretch to imagine your drunk college photos will someday be used to train the targeting capabilities of a war drone www.wsj.com/tech/meta-ar...

Steve Davis, Elon Musk's right hand man and head of the Boring Company, is out at DOGE. He was effectively leading day to day operations there. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/05...

very interesting that Musk, who regularly flouts rules and laws, is characterizing his exit from the White House as him just simply following the law

a lil reminder of who’s in charge

Was just on KCRW NPR out of LA's Press Play talking about AB Hernandez and transgender people in sports. Catch me live at 12:00 Noon 3:00 Eastern. I think Madeline and I had an incredible conversation about what is going on with the harassment of this single trans girl in track and field.
