For the third time since I took office, we're funding above the required pension payment — creating a $75M reserve fund for expected costs of adjusting to the Social Security Wage Base. With this fix in effect, we’re protecting taxpayers and state workers from future shortfalls

Sounds about right to me!

What will Illinois Governor JB Pritzker do if Donald Trump tries to do in Chicago what he's doing in Los Angeles? Jen asked him. Watch:

Democratic Rep. Ansari to Ingraham on Abrego Garcia: "We are turning into an authoritarian country, and there are Americans from all across the political spectrum who are concerned about this."

A group of House Democrats is in El Salvador today to advocate for the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Maryland man whom the Trump administration mistakenly deported, with California's Rep. Garcia saying, "This issue is more than about Kilmar. It's about due process in the U.S."

Happy Easter, Illinois! 🐰   Wishing everyone bright spring days ahead that bring hope and joy.   And to the kids in our state: good luck and happy hunting!

I sent a letter to our Chief Justice -- [email protected] -- You can too

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism. If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone. Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

Diversity is our strength. We're bringing opportunity to all of our state while building a workforce to take on the challenges of the 21st century. Illinois will be a powerhouse in the economy of tomorrow.

Mr Garcia will be tortured and killed. The Supreme court stepped in. 47 said no. We need to be outraged as in OUTRAGED. We're allowing 47 and his magats to undo all that has been accomplished since the revolutionary war. Our fathers fought and died so this would never happen in America.

Despite a federal court order prohibiting Garcia’s removal, he was deported to El Salvador. Judge Paula Xinis described the detention and deportation as “wholly lawless,” noting the absence of legal grounds for such actions. Bondi appears to believe that Donald Trump is her “client.”
