Spain has the most hours of free electricity in all of Europe, and also the lowest average electricity price. Solar + wind = saving money Gas + nuclear = wasting money

A sideways look at history - a different view of Ludlow Castle, with Mortimer's Tower on the right. This was the original gatehouse to the castle and is named after the Mortimer family, who built it in the 13th century. I took this shot while standing on the Donkey Steps a former packhorse path 1/2

Le saint patron des jardiniers ? Saint Fiacre ! 🌱 Cette enseigne de pèlerinage, que l’on fixait sur un vêtement ou un chapeau, vient du prieuré de Saint-Fiacre-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne). 👨‍🌾

Blimey, Reform haven't hung about in removing Zia Yusuf from any involvement in the party

🕊️ 50 years ago, Britain chose Europe. The 1975 referendum showed that hope, not fear, can win. We can choose it again. ⤵️

Gotta love pollsters 😄

NEW ANALYSIS: UK's solar power surges 42% to a new record, after the sunniest spring on record * For the first time, solar was >10% of UK generation in consecutive months (April/May 2025) * In 2025, solar has already avoided gas imports that would've cost £600m www.carbonbrief.org/analysis-uks...

What if the answer to national decline isn’t top-down reform, but bottom-up power? Communities aren’t broken, they’re just waiting to be trusted. Stephen McNair takes a look at a new report. #PowerShift #PoliticalRenewal

It's almost like Zia Yusuf has realised he's been chairing a party that promotes bigotry and is operated as a personal vehicle for a fag-ash führer. Must have come as a shock.

Reform UK falling apart and Trump/Musk spatting in public on the same day is just objectively funny

In the latest Mission Impossible movie, humanity is nearly wiped out by an AI that thinks it can survive the end of the world. Neat conceit. But 80 years after Hiroshima, we're more and more reluctant to talk about nuclear weapons. rostaylor240051.substack.com/p/oh-blast

Today’s headline in the Stratford Herald. “ Councillor Howard, Leader of the Reform group on the County Council admitted that although local policies would be based on Reform’s national ones, none had actually been worked out yet.” Well, we know Reform’s national policies. It doesn’t bode well 🤬🤬

Great to see @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social on @bsky.app. Hope this means the Labour Party, Government & other ministers will join so those of us who long ago left X can hear them.

Today marks 50 years since the 1975 referendum to stay in the EEC. We must recapture the spirit of that campaign now and push for the removal of trade barriers, for deeper peace & security ties, and for the ability of young people to travel freely across our shared continent.

The only Saxon church tower in West #Berkshire. That’s considered to be a Roman pillar in the upper window & the blocked window is actually a door #AdoorableThursday the tower was used as a beacon in times past. St Swithin’s, Wickham

🔥 Well said these MPs. This government now appears to be deliberately misleading the house on their position on Israel & Gaza. Everyone write to your MPs and ask where their voice is.

🚨 Nigel Farage says he owns a commercial fishing boat and is “heavily invested” in fishing. 🧾 So why is the boat not mentioned on the register of interests, a full 56 days since he revealed his investment to GB News viewers? Where’s the boat, Nigel? 🤔
