This time it’s a faceless corporation but the pattern is the same. They’ll keep taking precious places from you until we get a right to roam. Please follow @righttoroam.bsky.social & help us fight another gross act of exclusion. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

I know this bit of Dorset well, it’s notably awful for public access already. Sixty-one square kilometres owned by the Ilchester estate where it’s pheasants over peasants.

I wish I had the shelf space.

I reality don’t think Hermer should have apologised. The point is well made and accurate.

I’m a big fan of Amanda Harman’s work. 👀

Not too bad. Except, as the Welsh counties are thirty years out of date, I’m going to argue that I deserve a much higher score. smstone0.github.io#/uk-map

Just wait until they hear about all that Yorkshire tea. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

From the series All day it has rained, 2018. A sort of visual biography of the life and writing of Welsh WW2 poet Alun Lewis. #photography

It’s an absolute minimum that the UK government upholds its obligations under international law. Failure to do so is playing into the hands of Putin, Trump and the dangerous tide of authoritarianism worldwide.

The most amazing thing to me is that Adam Curtis’s radical thought pieces are shown on the otherwise deeply conventional BBC. Albeit not actually broadcast anymore, only online. It’s like a bolshie art bomb going off at the golf club.

I love the comments from people who clearly haven’t read a newspaper since January claiming that leaving NATO is supporting Putin. *head desk*

Sad news. He produced some truly wonderful, awe inspiring images on genuinely important subjects. Although some might say he outlived his approach to the sociopolitical aspects of photography. It came to be seen as top down, too colonial, too white saviour. There was definitely a bitter aftertaste.

There’s very little point to a university without the freedom to practice critical thinking. Harvard and the entire US university sector have to keep fighting even if they go down in flames. www.bbc.com/news/article...
