Always in a sweat. Also, sorry, I never use that chat key. I'm not a good recipient for hot tips, or hotness of any type. Also, should say, if you support the Gaza genocide, don't reply to me. I'll block you. .

Chekhov’s story, Gusev, gives us an account of the people in the hold of a steamship heading from the Pacific Northeast of Russia home to the Black Sea. The people in the hold are very sick. The hold is a stifling place, and they are coughing and lying around and playing cards and dying

Here's an obvious thing. The two state solution, with the West Bank and Gaza entirely ceded to a Palestinian state, can't work if the West doesn't do penance for its past 60 years of allowing Palestinians to be killed and suppressed by supplying billions of aid, equal Israel's history of aid.

Obama once said, “my policies are so mainstream that if I said them in the 1980s, I’d be considered a moderate Republican.” Obama knew what he was saying. The oddity of American political history is that the Republican party lost, entirely, its moderate wing.

Since Trump stood up at the podium in West Point and made a racist speech that went against about 80 years of American history, and since the NYT, our major newspaper, decided to report it in tones that made it seem like a dignified presidential “shift” of emphasis,

T.S. Eliot’s essay on Henry James for the Little Review in 1918 has some of the great qualities of Eliot as a critic as well as the baffling inconsistencies and Harvard grad tone that puts off a reader who is not eager to be inducted into some Ivy League Dining society frat.

This evisceration of Klein and Thompson's rainmaker con job, Abundance, in the Boston Review is wonderful. Thanks, Sandeep Vaheesan! www.bostonreview.net/articles/the...

I read a lot of what I consider to be garbage about how the racist and reactionary moment we are living through is on account of “social media” It is interesting that this discourse – which is a sort of liberal-centrist lamentation – has no concept of the history of media and racism.

The Biden dead-ender debate is a proxy for what happens next with the supposed opposition party. It doesn't look good. Biden dead-enders, centrist who want to compromise with MAGA, etc., are bad signs for the health of the party in 2026.

Trump's latest racist stunt made me think It made me think about the last time the U.S. had a directly white supremacist president: Woodrow Wilson. Who, legend has it, showed Griffith’s The Birth of a Nation in the White House. See limitedinc.blogspot.com/2025/05/the-...
