I do think that a better media would be interrogating how a Leader of the Opposition has ended up arguing that we shouldn't prosecute people for calling for burning down hotels with people in whilst people are burning down hotels with people in.

Perhaps journalists might eventually like to point out to these disingenuous Labour politicians that there were NO small boat crossing before Brexit and that Brexit also increased immigration. I’m pig sick of their selective memory.

Two uncomfortable truths with the Lucy Connolly story: 1. Suspect the right are missing how deeply authoritarian the British public are. They tend to *like* these laws and sentences. 2. Most of the British political class liked them too, until they were applied to a middle class white woman.

When is this ever acceptable 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤬🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Today's ethical question: which is worse - dodging a fare or claiming public money for the same journey twice?

Liz Truss is in Hungary. And she tweeted this without a shred of apparent irony. It's her friends and family I feel sorry for.

Says the man who gave us the biggest tax burden since the War, highest ever national debt, largest fall in living standards on record and committed the biggest act of self-harm in our history with Brexit. Time to shut the fuck up you shambling oaf.

Honest Bob told us that we had to stay in during lockdown while he went out. Driving round the country, then concocting reasons why. At no point did he mention one rule for him and another one for us. news.sky.com/story/corona...

How about means testing MPs expenses and subsidies? If MPs don't believe rich pensioners should get the winter fuel allowance surely they can't think rich MPs should get subsidised meals and alcohol?

Man of the people? The millionaire, right-wing, private schooled, city banker, who claims an EU parliament pension and pays his taxes in Belgium? You've been had by this grifter. Wake up and smell the Rubles!

Or otherwise known as Tory fare evasion. #honestbobjenrick

I'd say tax dodging is a significantly bigger problem than fare dodging. Deport them!

And we thought he couldn't do comedy

Now Dutch-style roundabouts which give priority to pedestrians and cycling are apparently "woke" 🤔😵‍💫😔

I'm waiting for the video of Robert Jenrick chasing tax dodgers - including his former cabinet colleagues - and asking them if they think it's right not pay. But it doesn't seem to have been posted yet.

We’re sure many of you have heard about the growing controversy in Oklahoma, where parents are pushing back against a new curriculum quietly pushed through by the state’s superintendent.

Yes, please?

Very much enjoyed Robert Jenrick filming himself telling people they should pay for using the tube.

Yes. Well. Turns out that #ProjectFear Mark 1 turned out to be #ProjectFact. We should all have listened to those realistic assessments which pointed to fear being the right response…and run in the opposite direction. So will #ProjectFear Mk 2

Well, the Liverpool attacker who drove his car into kids appears to be a Farage, Tate & Musk fanboy. Wonder if he voted Reform? As he’s white The Mail depicts him as a middle class dad who lived in a cul de sac and must’ve “panicked in the moment”. If he’d been brown the far right would’ve rioted

Yep! That’s The Guy! Reeks Of Hypocrisy….

Honest Bob Jenrick. 🤦‍♀️🤣

A glowing commendation for Durham county council’s new Reform UK leader Andrew Husband from his party’s spokesman: “Andrew is a business leader with a proven track record of growth in start-ups and building successful teams.” 🧵 1/3

While Robert Jenrick MP spends his days wandering about the underground tackling fare dodgers and going on about the capital for clicks... his constituency has a genuine problem. ● Newark crime rate: 123 crimes per 1,000 ● London 105.8 per 1,000 But you know... "Sadiq"

just saw a headline about "Britain's most woke roundabout" and I think I'm done

I wonder what happened in 2016? …another picture to save to your phone and share everywhere.

Given that both Boris Johnson and Michael Gove confessed to cocaine use, the co-ordinated string of Tweets from Tory frontbenchers attacking Sadiq Khan's entirely sensible call for cannabis decriminalisation are the height of hypocrisy

So was Peter Sutcliffe.

Today proscetors have confrimed 21 charges against 'Andrew and Tristan Tate, including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.' 'Is it time for parliament to question Nigel Farage over his relationship with Tate?'

Healthy but tired cynicism being expressed in this letter (to the i Paper). We’re all so bloody sick of the failure… of being lied to like this… of politics for simpletons who think the stuff they don’t like can be swept away with a magic wand and who have no clue how a country works.. or doesn’t.

Ex Tory MP Steve Baker is calling for ‘a safety net’ for MP’s who lose their jobs??? Poor diddums says it’s hard to get a job when you’re so well known? The same Steve Baker, who voted for every single austerity measure on the people of this country. Mr Baker, go fuck yourself!

Is Liz Truss right to demand a cut in the minimum wage? With me in the studio to discuss this are an £91,000 a year Tory MP, a £250,000 a year rightwing journalist and a £4,000,000 a year chief executive.
