Just hoping to see our planet survive and thrive for every generation that is still yet to come. What we have today is built on everyone from the past, let's build on that through our actions TODAY.

Embarrassed to be an Australian today. Destruction of 50,000 years of heritage and an estimated 4.3 billion tonnes of CO2e into the atmosphere, all for corporate greed. This is all compounded by an estimated $215 billion in royalties that the Australian public misses out on.

"Approval of the North West Shelf extension would be easily one of the worst decisions ever made by an Environment Minister in Australia's history," said @grogsgamut.bsky.social.

Sad day for Australians, humanity and our planet. A good day to be a corporate fossil fuel corporation. Labor already setting the bar incredibly low for their new term. Climate and Environmental action is beyond CRITICAL.

What does the Australian Government value? Gas company profits or 40,000 years of culture? Our ad in newspapers today ⤵️ Add your name: theaus.in/reject_NWS

If Labor fail to act and act swiftly, we will loose such a beautiful national icon. Humanity hunted the unique giant marsupials of the land to extinction thousands of years ago under some reports. The greater public outcry for this extinction will come, yet it will be too late.

Professor Benjamin Smith, a rock art expert, spoke to Guardian about a crucial report on the pollution affecting Murujuga: “The spin around it has been wrong,” he says. “If we allow what is happening to continue we’re going to very quickly lose the rock art in Murujuga.”

Late stage Capitalism. It's not about educating and advancing the greater good, research, science, society and our species, we gotta squeeze every bit of 'efficiency' and money out of every component of our society.

Approving this would have emissions equivalent to opening 12 large new coal power stations for 50 years. It would make a mockery of all @AustralianLabor renewables and climate policies.

Welcome to see the decline in the legacy media landscape we see today in both print and television formats. The US election showcased the power of podcasts and the algorithmic age in which we live. We must still break the mould of tech-oligarchy. australiainstitute.org.au/post/bellowi...

We are human rights lawyers. Our new report is clear: Israel perpetrates apartheid | Sandra L Babock, Susan M Akram, Thomas Becker and James Cavallaro

Media landscape continually clogged up by the antics of the US President in the Middle East whilst the Israeli's continue their genocide and restriction of aid for over 70 days into Gaza. What happened to the outrage and public reach from an AI generated image about "All Eyes on Rafah"

Australia faces an integrity crisis. Without immediate reform, public trust in government will continue to erode. Integrity experts incl former judges, ombudsmen, and leading academics have signed an open letter calling on the new Parliament to address weaknesses in political integrity. #auspol

Now to deliver. The first term was weak on so many important issues of Environment, Climate Change, Global Conflicts, International Relations and Domestic Issues across so many social challenges. We need to support our country, our neighbours and our planet for this next term.

The bending of the knee towards corporations and the ultra wealthy in our society. Disconnected, out of touch and hurtful policy.

A pretty shameless attempt to get the disgruntled and uneducated youth vote. Might work but if it isn’t a clearer example of how the Liberals have no plan for really supporting people today let alone future generations.

Hi. Elon Musk says that empathy is "the fundamental weakness of Western civilization." In this episode, we look at why the right hates empathy and how they're trying to get more Americans to approve of their antisocial behavior. youtu.be/dwdAEkJks8A

Everyone too distracted by the contrast of modern America and Germany in the 1930s to forget the true foundation of modern political fascism, Italy in the early 20th century. Incredible work as always from Josh.

My 90 min discussion with Jeff Sachs on Ukraine, China, Europe and, of course, Trump. Food for thought. www.youtube.com/live/nKIzdmW...

One of the best sources for a variety of evidence backed articles. They’ve also shown what a good disclosure of interest for writers should be in a media landscape. The lack of vested interests being disclosed is destroying our critical thinking in society, fuelling a toxic propaganda machine.

The US in ‘support’ of its partners in Saudi Arabia & Israel are continuing to barbarically murder more civilians & destroy critical infrastructure in the Middle East. All from the comfort of their billion $ equipment whilst their own society & status slowly slides into internal chaos & despair.

Nearly 10,000 Palestinians are in Israeli custody, including 3,500 administrative detainees held without charge or trial. 🔴 LIVE updates: aje.io/i17lad

The media's diversion to wealth in the west as financial markets react to Trumps disastrous trade war with China & US allies, shifts focus from the genocide & humanitarian crisis in Palestine. This all while conflicts continue in Ukraine, Myanmar, Sudan & elsewhere, all proxy wars destroying lives.

We need to rethink our view of vehicles & modes of transport in this country to be more efficient. Why need an emission burning, oversized, step-ladder accessable vehicle to tow your caravan or go 'offorad' just once, maybe twice a year. We place far too much value in these products of consumerism.

Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform the energy sector in the coming decade, driving a surge in electricity demand from data centres. Electricity use from AI-optimised data centres is projected to more than quadruple by 2030. More 👉 iea.li/3RyWBbT

Reality check: coral restoration won’t save the world’s reefs theconversation.com/reality-chec... Restoring the reefs we’ve already lost around the world could cost up to A$26 trillion...

The poor capitalist system that strives for bottom $ efficiency at the expense of the average person? The system that has allowed billions of $ in bailouts to banks & corporations in the GFC & COVID. The system that allows for everyone to flourish, only if you OWN a business. We need balance.

Self regulation and self governance of corruption, espionage and security concerns by patting themselves on the back and calling a closed case is terrifying standard for the ‘pillar of democracy’ in America to set for the west. Where is the oversight or at least a drop of common sense…?

Keep the ball rolling with more great work from @australiainstitute.org.au. Absolutely taking the piss with the royalties paid by gas companies. People like to argue that coal royalties is what supports so much of our economy but even that is flawed! Fossil Fuel entities are leaching our resources

Happy to kick off my time on this platform highlighting an important fact We are a resource rich nation that’s lucked out in experiencing Dutch Disease Budget spending must be managed for the benefit of the nations future, investing in value-added benefits to our resources and services sector.
