I’m late to the party but Jusant is wonderful. It gives me Shadow of the Colossus and ABZU vibes but somehow also feels completely new.

Some lucky die rolls got me the win in Buttons & Bugs scenario 18 this morning.

A lovely bit of post this afternoon 🏅

This was a great listen, and a helpful reminder of how impenetrable game rules can be for folks not used to them.

52 Realms: Adventures is the Game of the Week, designed by @matthewdunstan.bsky.social and illustrated by @rorymuldoon.bsky.social ! This game is powered by a deck of cards, propelling your character through a dungeon of horrors. Can you make it out alive with a bagful of loot?

A lovely bit of village cricket

One Card Dungeon was another pick up from UKGE. This is a boxed version of the classic print and play game designed by Barney Skinner. A proper old school dungeon crawl complete with 12 levels all played on a single card and with a handful of dice. Super smart!

A game of River of Gold by Keith Piggott means I’ve now played all of my expo pick ups. it’s nice to finally play this one in real life after multiple games on BGA.

A very cute way to store Voyages found on Reddit. (Ping @matthewdunstan.bsky.social, @rorymuldoon.bsky.social) www.reddit.com/r/boardgames...

Gen-ai always makes me think of how DS9 firmly established that replicated food is vastly inferior to real food.

Good morning, fellow programs! 🥏 The demo for TRON: Catalyst is now available on Steam. RTs appreciated! Play the first hour of the action game set in the Arq Grid, a server on the verge of collapse and the scramble for control in a dying world. store.steampowered.com/app/3025590/...

Today's video is about 10 common ways to improve your game design, things I find myself giving as playtesting feedback again and again :) youtu.be/px1sdjwL-z4 🎲✂️

We’re delighted that The Dice Tower have increased their rating of 52 Realms: Adventures to 8.5 making it eligible for their coveted Seal of Excellence! youtu.be/X2uKDpCELlw?...

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to play Star Wars Rebellion. Despite getting crushed by my opponent, I really loved it. Lots of highs and lows with plenty of fun narrative moments that took the sting out losing. Can’t wait to play it again.

A friendly reminder that there are still a few hours to vote for the Charles S Roberts Awards and support my game Operation Bøllebank in the “Best Modern Game” category. All votes count! Thanks!!!🙏

Great day at UKGE yesterday. The new layout felt much more conducive to general strolling (my favourite activity at a con). Didn’t get to say hello to everyone I wanted to see, but I did have a nice lunch with @logicfairy.bsky.social @artmonkeymg.bsky.social @jakeillustrates.bsky.social

Remembering the summer I took my old Smart Roadster on an 11 hour road trip to the Inner Hebrides.

I finished painting the Gloomhaven: Buttons & Bugs mini minis yesterday. Some scrappy bits here and there but this is the first painting that I’ve done in over a year so I’m generally pretty happy.

I found an old version of Voyages from pre-Postmark (I think @matthewdunstan.bsky.social and I had just started talking at this point). The duties was a less interesting mini game about making shapes to collect and sell cargo, and the game ended when you timed out, or reached the edge of the map.

Went for a little jaunt around memory lane in my home town today. The pub I used to drink at as a teenager is still there (though now vastly different). Very fond memories of playing on the IT box so much that every position on the score board was mine and my friend’s initials.

This applies to all creative pursuits. Illustration, game design etc

What's the state of the UK tabletop industry? If you're at #UKGE then join a panel of experts at the first Big Table State of the Industry panel on Saturday at 18:30 (Piazza Suites), to discuss where we are, what impact tariffs will have, GPSR, and much more. www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk/events/2917-...

Next up for the mini mini painting is the Silent Knife.
