Made a little tee out of vintage fabric just in time for Pride Month! Free Agustina tee pattern is from Fabric Store and hence designed for linen, but I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked in jersey. #sewing

Seriously, pull yourselves together and knock it off with the doomerism. Lotta folks out here doing free advertising for the Nothing from the Neverending Story. Everything is terrible enough without us running around pooping our nihilism, anxiety and misplaced scrupulosity on one another.

This little bag has some secrets: 1. It's got two compartments, one just for stinky cleats. 2. I freestyled it out of stuff I found at yard sales, using techniques I've picked up recently. And 3. I'm pretty sure I ripped out every seam on it at least once #sewing #handmade #craftiverse

In a world of Riley Gaineses, be an Anelise Feldman

Nothing, and I mean nothing, prepared me for how much of my success as a parent hinges on my ability to tune out the sound of things being dropped on the floor. Incessantly. Intentionally.

This semester was a slog, but I had one group whose creativity, authenticity, and willingness to risk mistakes was life-giving. Every time ChatGPT had me ready to take a sledgehammer to my laptop, their unhinged and hilarious work proved that everything is not, after all, computer. Bless these kids

I hate it when strangers wish me a happy Mother's Day when my kids aren't with me. Like thanks for shoving me in the mom box and reminding me of my value to society as a Woman of a Certain Age. What if I'm just a carefree gal with a fulfilling career? What if I chose to have an abortion this a.m.?

Tell me your kid was raised by teachers w/o telling me. Shall I go first? If you insist: 10-yo made this template for 8-yo to help him write some cards for his teachers today. We've given 10-yo templates like these for thank-you notes and apology letters in the past; this one was all him, though

Multiple things are true here. 1. AI can do a lot of college-level work. That's why it's incumbent on instructors to give work that feels meaningful and requires human discernment...

Not usually a big garment-maker, but I've scored some fun vintage fabrics at estate sales recently and this one wanted to be a wrap skirt. #memademay #upcycle #sewingsky

My helperer has arrived to do the helpering #craftsky #sewsky

Happy "Kicking France's butt long enough to ennervate fledgling democracies around the world and defund the confederacy" day to all who celebrate!

Classrooms are inherently political. Every time a teacher covers a topic or historical figure or literature, they are being political. The politics of those they leave in and those they leave out.

I'd choose the 100 gorillas

Ok I am completely broken by this. The Hague and UN need to see this. #Texas

youtube.com/watch?v=Xbt1... A couple-three years on, this remains my favorite album of real songs attributed to a fictional band, recorded by real musicians for a TV version of a novel disguised as a rockumentary.
