A few more character studies and compositional snapshots from the other day. Sometimes you can’t beat an hour parked on a tripod with a long lens just editing the show in front of you. Tweaking, finessing, playing. Great fun.

The way of ice. Little man vs gigantic glacier in Alaskan wilderness… Unforgettable moment captured straight from our camp in the Boundary Range (2023), just a few meters from my tent 😍! #bluesky #photography #mountains #landscape #nature #glacier #art #geology #science #adventure

Wow

I was fascinated with the little ice skirts on these tiny strands of grass, popping their heads out of the water. #Assynt #Scotland #photography

Four photos from the Utah badlands. The light and layers and textures here are just some awesome subjects to photograph.

I don't take many really long exposure shots these days, but occasionally the clouds look just right to capture some good movement so I get the filters out. Like this one from Stokksnes in south-east #Iceland in April 2023.

Flash Harry.I loved the dark background contrasting the frost covered tree.

Inanimator. More from a glorious Saturday morning in the frozen scrublands...

More winter scrub at sunrise. Voigtlander 50mm f/1 Nokton.

Epic as usual

Love this, something different

Winter Scrub. Hoar Frost came good today and lasted hours too. I love making images from local scrub land like these. Voigtlander 35mm f/2 APO-Lanthar.

Absolutely gorgeous

Pretty glorious….

Perfect photographers forecast for tomorrow AM…

New Year confession: I only really subscribe to Gavin Hardcastle on YouTube because I love his voice so much lol

Castaway is a Christmas movie if Die Hard is, and Die Hard definitely is.

Rag Tag Corner. Local heathland and an unexpected freezing March morning...

Lovely imagery…

Enter The Dragon. Welcombe Mouth, North Devon coast.

Heathland. Sun came out today so took a rare winter wander with my 720nm infrared Nikon Z7II and Zeiss 135mm f/2 ZF.2 for this combination in some low December light...

Master Of Oaks. I do love the colour contrasts between the mossy branches and autumnal canopy in this one, under the early light ion the Peak District.
