"Fascism is might over right, conspiracy over reality, fiction over fact, pain over law, blood over love, doom over hope." - Timothy Snyder 👇👇👇Seems spot on.

Stephen Miller is a born loser and had no friends till he hooked up with the Orange Fat Bastard!

If ‘gang affiliation’ is illegal, why isn’t every Proud Boy and Klan member in prison? Why?!

Just shows how out of touch these people are.

I second that emotion!

There have been a lot of strong women in my life shaping my views. Namely, Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, Diana Ross, Dolly Parton, Amanda Gorman, Cher, Gladys Knight, Selena, Princess Diana, Hillary Clinton, Dr Maya Angelou, Michelle Obama, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Serena & Venus Williams . Thank you! ❤️💜

One point that's going to get lost in the discussion of #SCOTUS's intervention in the Alien Enemy Act case: This is the *value* of nationwide injunctions. Without them, you have to go district by district, and the government can try to play games by moving people to districts without relief (yet).

This woman survived domestic terrorism -- not from street gangs but, rather, from corporate terrorists. Excellent speech.

He'd paint it gold.

Dear technology. Stop trying to anticipate what I type, what I love and what I think. I’m a stubborn, unpredictable bastard and, no matter how hard you try, you will never truly understand what I am about.

Odd, how the United States doesn't have enough money to give sick veterans healthcare, impoverished seniors Social Security, or hungry schoolkids lunches, but it does have enough money to pay a Central American dictator millions to torture American residents in his brutal concentration camp.

KIDNAPPING!

Confession: Even though I studied history throughout college, I was an apolitical person, surfacing only in the face of Nixon's and current destruction of our freedoms. I have to ask now, have we put up with a two-party system too long? Why are Independents blocked from primaries in 15 states?

Just spent 2 hrs on the sidewalk in front of my local supermarket w/my placard. Managers came out at least 3 times & told me to leave. I politely reminded them I was within my rights & that 🇺🇸 is about freedom. @therickwilson.bsky.social @reedgalen.bsky.social @profgalloway.com #PaHouse #PaSenate

Federal court lays into DOJ: "This claim is either an effort to prevaricate or is deeply disingenuous. ... preposterous on its face." Detecting a pattern here? storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us... (h/t @reichlinmelnick.bsky.social)

One of my sons was held in Chicago today after coming back from an international trip. My other son was not held from his connecting flight and I am pretty sure it was due to different last names. Thankfully, he had his passport and we told him how to handle the situation. Scary times.

Remaining quiet in turbulent times is a luxury that perceived privilege and intellectual ignorance afford. That passivity is born out of the illusion of safety. (Trust me, none of us is safe.) johnpavlovitz.substack.com/p/to-my-apol...

Congratulations @barbaraleeformayor.bsky.social!!! We love you!! #momsky

A president has no business targeting civil society orgs & let’s be clear—treating Americans as his enemies, not people he has sworn an oath to serve.

In the past few weeks, the Trump Justice Department dropped or withdrew its involvement in 7 voting rights cases filed under the Biden Administration. Paige and I explain these cases and what they mean about the future of voting rights and federal election law enforcement. youtu.be/4b-h3LnQolk

"A celebration of ignorance." Sagan, Orwell, even Fitzgerald saw it coming.

That's certainly going to teach the cadets the true meaning of "protect"...

Y’all are wild

Do not doubt for one nanosecond that the sociopath who was willing to let Americans die on a cruise ship off the coast of CA because he didn’t want them to ‘increase his Covid numbers’ is the same sociopath who’d willingly send innocent Hispanics to a foreign prison to boost his deportation numbers…

Some more good news…👇 Enjoy. 😎✨

I forgot how much I love this place.

How can the Dems be so "organized" about sending out donation requests, and yet create so little in the way of "good trouble"? I will donate what little I can afford to those who actually take action and get results.

WOW! Rushing out the ruling before the dissent was finished? Sounds a lot like clever gamesmanship. Keep up the good work.

Sad, but true.

“There are two directions you can go right now, Ms. Murkowski: You can quit, go quietly into the night, and live with yourself in disgrace, or you can do what you know is right, and lead from the front, stand up for America, and provide safe haven for Americans who are under severe duress.”

These protests today are only as good as the coverage. We can’t count on the media to report on them. Flood the zone on social media of pictures of your signs, fellow protesters, and videos!

I'm fine with verification by domain (obviously) but not everyone has a domain or wants to get one. I just hope any new Bluesky verification works like it's supposed to: a simple, widely-accessible verification of personal identity rather than a "prize." techcrunch.com/2025/04/18/b...

Today marks the 250th anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord, which began the American Revolution. Our nation was founded on resistance to arbitrary authority and monarchical power. We built a democracy in the face of impossible odds. We must continue to protect it.

Another "administrative error"? The actual error was in electing this co-president in the first place. All the rest is residual incompetence.

Hope.

Always great when the agency in “turmoil” is … {checks notes} … the United States Department of Defense.

Yep, sadly true!

Happy 250th Anniversary of Lexington and Concord from the Supreme Court of the United States
