National Guard soldiers stay at inexpensive hotels which offer federal GSA per diem rates. Typically budget hotels operated by Marriott, IHG, Hilton, and Choice (so think Hampton Inn, SpringHill, Staybridge, etc). Usually they stay close to major freeway on ramps. They're very easy to spot.
