Today's lunch view while out volunteering, and the Townsend's Warbler I saw after we were finished. Not centred, but a difficult #bird to photograph at the best of times.

Today's lunch view while out volunteering was a bit uninspired: a picnic table in a campground. So this was just a fun thing I saw on my way to that campground. Not a great pic, but I don't stop for roadside wildlife (and you shouldn't, either)

Today's lunch view, and where I was before lunch. I WAS out volunteering as a Wildlife Ambassador. But the G7 scared everyone away, and we spoke to exactly 1 person, setting a new record low for impactful volunteering.

Always a treat (and a humbling one, as well) to find a store selling the book I wrote. I expressed my thanks to the store owner for carrying it. She asked me to autograph the copies she had! So I signed the 5 books on the rack for her. Here’s hoping that helps them sell.

Today's lunch view while out volunteering. Plus... the ~2 day old White-Tailed Deer fawn we found in the forest where we were working. We gave it a large berth and lots of room, and taped off the area so no one else will bother it. We did see the mom; she was concerned but not upset.
