Dumb insight for today. I was taking cosine similarity for avg of some set of vectors to find similar ones in a larger subspace. But, I intuited such a thing call weighted cosine similarity might exist. (Here you'd weigh by some regularized version of 1/sigma^2). And it turns out it does.
