I liked Jurassic World: Rebirth.

How to Train Your Dragon 2025 is a great version of what it wants to be but in the end I’m probably never choosing to watch this over the excellent animated original, so it feels like a pointless exercise by the end.

Checking out A Minecraft Movie and my only thought is I’m very old.

I’m glad people seem to really be digging 28 Years Later. I wish I was in that camp but for me it was a frustrating movie. Jodie Comer is fantastic though.

Life of Chuck wears its heart proudly on its sleeve and for the most part worked for me. Mia Sara nearly steals the movie.

Whistle by Linwood Barclay is outstanding. Very different from his previous novels I’ve read and I love the new direction that he promises at the end he will continue.

Just saw 1980’s Friday the 13th is getting a 45th anniversary screening at the AMC near me (and I assume others) this Friday. Very excited.

Annabelle is the weird franchise where the first movie is terrible, the second movie is solid, and the third movie is really good.

Psycho II was released on this day in 1983. Did Psycho need a sequel? No. Is Psycho II a great film? Fucking yes it is!

I get to see Popcorn (1991) on the big screen tonight. Very excited. Hopefully I don’t go home in a box.

Karate Kid Legends is surprisingly solid. Ben Wang is great, as is Joshua Jackson. Biggest negative might be it’s too short. They cram a lot in that last half hour.

They really are the Cardiac Cubs. I mean fuck. Nice win in tough conditions though. #CubsWin

Not sure about favorite but here are 5 I love: Casablanca Laura The Uninvited Elevator to the Gallows Ed Wood

Cubs win and the Cardinals lose. Happy Birthday to me.

Just heard about Peter David’s passing. He was one of my first authors I went all in with. From his Star Trek novels, comic book writing, and original work, he was a force. R.I.P., sir.

I definitely was not a fan of all the callbacks in Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning, but there is a character brought back from a previous entry that should not work at all and ends up being a great decision for the story being told.

Halloween H20 has flaws but love that short running time, and the last 15 minutes are chef’s kiss.

Loving the new Ghost album, Skeleta.

Cubs get the sweep and the Cardinals finally lose a game so that’s a pretty good day. #CubsWin

I didn’t enjoy the new FD. All the set pieces felt more like I was watching someone walk through a Final Destination attraction than something that actually felt organic within the movie. Really unlikable characters. The Tony Todd scene was touching. But everything else can fuck off. Sorry.

Why are we still asking Hallie Berry about the possibility of a Jinx movie in 2025?

I bet that felt great, Justin Turner. #walkoff #CubsvsMarlins #CubsWin

Saboteur is a Hitchcock we don’t discuss enough.

I guess Playoff Jimmy is back. Enjoy wondering where that level of play is in the regular season for the next few years, Golden State fans. #GSvsMN

That game felt like a playoff game tonight. #CubsvsMets

A lot of fun seasons watching him as a Raiders fan. Wish they could’ve gotten at least one ring with him but there were some great games in his tenure. Enjoy retirement, sir.

I love Elsbeth went all Suicide Squad in the Season finale.

The original Friday the 13th was released 45 years ago today. This is a movie that has aged very well for me. And while I still can’t quite put it in the same level as the first Halloween and ANOES films, it’s a lot closer for me than it ever use to be.

I enjoyed Thunderbolts but it kind of stinks were clearly not going to ever get an actual Thunderbolts movie. There’s a purpose for that Asterix.

And three home runs today off Skenes! Love this team.

Seated for Thunderbolts. I wish they were adapting the original run of the series which was one of the most clever storylines Marvel ever published but hoping for the best.

Just finished Harlan Coben’s new novel, Nobody’s Fool, and he just never dissapoints.

That canceled TV show that you'll never stop thinking about.

I found Until Dawn to be a lot of fun. It was a nice surprise. No knowledge of the game so can’t speak to how fans will react but enjoyed the movie.

Movie you’ve watched more than six times using gifs.

One of these years I will attend the TCM Classic Film Festival.
