Utah only cares about one thing: the appearance of saving money. We sit on budget surplus and instead of investing in programs to help people we delight in cutting them, cutting efficiencies, and watching people suffer from a moralistic high ground.

Today I called Sen Curtis asking him to vote against cuts and changes to Medicaid that will take it away from individuals and communities that need it. I cried as I shared the story of my second son….

Just finished “Mistakes Were Made, (But not by me)” and recommend everyone read it immediately if you haven’t. It explains a LOT about our world right now, and how and why people follow Trump. The last chapter is particularly heartbreaking, because it could have ended so differently.

@utahdemocrats.bsky.social I want to see something like this, cause our crew is constantly up to no good!

My Dad told me the other day that he feels the time is soon where he might need to take steps to hide some of his current tenants, who are here as refugees from Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and who might be losing their status. He’s a lifelong Republican and absolutely appalled by the dehumanization.

Today’s three calls were about due process and respecting our judicial system. Due process requires the government to make accusations public, giving accused the chance to defend themselves. It is what separates our society from chaos. Even Nazis at the end of WWII got due process at Nuremberg.

Today’s topic for my 3 calls is urging Utah reps to vote against HR 899 that is looking to make official in the legislature what trump tried to do in his executive order. Utah schools are underfunded and under supported already!

Here’s the thing, autism can be an extremely life limiting diagnosis for some individuals and their families, and can require high levels of support to live safely. These individuals deserve as much love and respect and ACKNOWLEDGMENT as anyone. This is why it is a SPECTRUM! 1/2
