My dad (79yo) just sent me this photo. Walked into the sketchy Walmart near his house tonight and just got one. Gah. He prefers his homemade water-cooled PC so it’s possible he may send it to us.

Commentary on the pluses and minuses of archetype depictions in Murderbot are fascinating and really show how locked in ppl are with their particular POVs. I include myself here bc I read the books through the “parenting a teen lens” and I just see MB as a very surly teenager of any gender.

#knitsky I know ppl like the ChiaoGoo interchangeable needles, but… I now have my mom’s set and the cable won’t stay screwed on tight. It doesn’t take long to snag the yarn. Is there a way to fix this somehow? Bc I’m amazed at the popularity but this is kind of a deal killer.

My first yoga teacher taught some of us to knit 🧶 during yoga teacher training. We’d listen to lectures and knit on our scarves. As a fidgety ADHD person this was revelatory. I can focus a lot better doing something with my hands. Since I’ve been back in school, a lot of knitting is happening.
