20 years after thwarting a gates-of-hell incident, an ex-cop and current sweatpants wearing swordsman-for-hire is called back to duty, as the planets are aligned or something, in Empire of the Dark (1991) Produced, written, directed and starring Steve Barkett (1/2)

#70sHorrorBinge Scalpel (1977) 3.5/5 🌟 A horror, thriller, double-cross 📽 about a crazy plastic surgeon that sculpts the face of his runaway daughter on a stripper to get her inheritance. Then he falls for her (incest alert). Things get interesting when his real daughter returns. Recommended gem.

The Violent Professionals (1973) Luc Merenda is a homicide cop who plays by his own rules so the commissioner puts him deep undercover and still gets mad when he plays by his own rules! This poliziotteschi from Serigio Martion has lots of car crashes & not afraid to put bullets in women and children

PSA: The Cardona Collection Vol #1 & #2 are each going for under $20 on Vinegar Syndrome's current weekend sale, I paid slightly higher than that, but I can't say enough about how every single movie was way better than expected. #VinegarSyndrome

Boobs in Mirrors Appreciation Post. Because, it's like...twice the boobs, right? (Countess Perverse, La Casa Que Arde de Noche, Fräulein Devil, Voodoo Passion)

A woman joins her British diplomat husband at his home in Haiti, but the local flavor causes her to have vividly realistic dreams about sex and murder in Jess Franco' Voodoo Passion (1977) Almost non-stop nudity. #FrancoFriday

Me at 3:10pm, and me at 4:30pm. Just kidding, it was good. Coulda done without a few of those dance routines.

Hand of Death (1962) A scientist rejects all safety protocols while working on a nerve gas and is surprised when anything he touches dies instantly, before eventually morphing into a full-fledged monster. Only 60 minutes, not very good.

Tales to Keep You Awake (1966-TV) Closing out season 1 with Ep 17 & 18. The Smile is a Bradbury post-apocalyptic tale of a hate-based society (forever timely) and The Asphalt is a satire about a man stuck in the melting street on a hot day and receiving little to no concern from passersby.

Female Prisoner Scorpion: Beast Stable (1973) The 3rd in the series finds Matsu (Meiko Kaji) staying with a streetwalker who sleeps with her own brain-damaged brother to keep him from committing violent acts, while avoiding a vengeful officer who lost an arm during their last encounter.
