I am so goddamn tired of this take that AI will have no economic harms at all and just bring nothing but positives. It is so incredibly dangerous to just keep on keeping on. You know what an entrepreneur's dream come true is? Having customers with money to spend, and failure not leading to poverty.

The rise of AI is incompatible with the economy unless there is universal basic income.

The U.S. currently does not have universal basic income. The rate at which AI is evolving and being used is increasing. Can economists who don’t support UBI explain what happens to our economy with mass AI-based layoffs without UBI?

Democrats once again wasting millions of dollars on something stupid. You want to win the working class? stop wasting $ and instead fight & pass polices that invest IN the working class: - Free college & Trade School - Medicare4All - UBI - Paid family & sick leave - RAISE THE GOD DAMN MIN WAGE

UBI is such an important issue to me because it does a few things on a wider scale. It’s not only a better way to run a society, but also shows how austerity is clearly a losing position.

People always ask why anyone would be motivated to work if we had UBI I don't hate working, I hate being employed in shitty jobs I hate, you dig? I'd farm the earth and work with animals all day for free if I didn't have to worry about food and shelter

The only argument I ever needed to embrace UBI was that of the rise of private property and a legal system that protected "owners." As far as I am concerned, the moment humans were denied the freedom of a direct relationship to nature and means of survival, survival became the cause of the commons.

Concerned about fertility rates and want more people to have more kids? This ain't rocket science. Make kids more affordable to have. Do a universal basic income that includes kids. Do universal healthcare. Do universal childcare. Also, just do more in general to make the future look bright vs dim.

60% chance of worse than average hurricane season. 3-5 major hurricanes expected. So what did the Trump regime just do? The head of FEMA just rescinded its strategic plan for this summer without having any new plan. Instead, the new plan is to come up with a new plan during hurricane season.

What are you personally doing to help Universal Basic Income get implemented? The easiest possible thing to do is to just talk about it more and help amplify posts that support UBI. You can utilize my timeline to save time. You can also donate to itsafoundation.org to help with our key UBI projects.

Explains a lot about where we are as a country that people are still willing to believe trickle-down economics is going to happen but ignore the dozens of massive, high-quality studies showing that just giving poor people money actually does solve their problems.

We have most of the technical answers for how to build a better, safer, happier future for everyone on earth. Divert prison money to basic income pronto. The only 'how' we don't have is 'how do we force nations to prioritize human life and happiness over death, dismay and coerced support?'

UBI or bust.

"UBI for me, not for thee."
