Such a classic. 🔥

I searched “FP&A” in Bluesky and found nothing, so I might in fact be the first person on this platform to post about it. My opinion (as someone with 12 years of experience in FP&A, so I’m clearly biased): it’s one of the best careers out there.

@nirenberg.net Mr. Nirenberg, do you have plans to run for higher office after your term in San Antonio ends? We need strong leaders like you.

YARDENI: “This is perhaps the first manufactured US bear market in at least 100 yrs, in the sense that it was created by President Trump, in his obsession w/ tariffs, rather than caused by anything to do with the business cycle, overleverage, or financial contagions.” @yardeniresearch.bsky.social

I read Show Your Work by @austinkleon.bsky.social a year ago. I loved the book and found it encouraging and inspiring. Afterward I bought the domain scowens.com, but I’ve just been sitting on it. A year has gone by, I just turned 35, and I’m not getting any younger. Maybe this year is the year.

(3/3) How many hours per week should I be shooting for to feel like I’m making progress in developing my writing skills?

(2/3) I just time-blocked planned my typical week, and it was sobering. As it is, I can carve out one hour in the morning on Saturdays and Sundays to write. But 2 hours/week doesn’t seem like much. If I sacrificed exercise and reading (not completely), I could free up more time.

(1/3) People who work full-time, have young kids, have to make time to exercise, etc, and still manage to write on the side, how the hell do you do it? What sacrifices do you have to make day-to-day?

Beautiful flora in San Francisco from this past week

www.gamesradar.com/games/former... These massive open-world RPGs are a ton of fun, but I have to be highly selective of which ones I play because they’re so long. We need more games like Sekiro. That game is perfection.

Just finished reading “Danny Coughlin’s Bad Dream” by @stephenking.bsky.social. Man, what a page turner. This has quickly become one of my favorite stories. I highly recommend. Jalbert makes a great villain. And Danny is such a stand out guy. I rooted for him all the way. Great character work.

So, what do we call “tweets” on Bluesky?
