Mr. President demo hit Steam today. Hopefully they make their official release date this year. Yes, you can make good and bad choices to either help shape domestic or international policy. Let’s see if re-election is in your future. Or will the election be rigged?

Never thought the day would come when the Irish songs I enjoy could almost be American due to the tyranny coming from the lords above. Well they do say if you don’t learn your history, you’re doomed to repeat it. Since the Republicans want to burn books and rewrite history, we’ll do it all again.

Second play of Shackleton Base. I’d call it a pretty close game. Purple went all in on Skywatch to close out the victory. Second and third were spaced out within two points of each other. I was brown, going all in on plants and robots. Need to work on building more domes.

Last Monday played Shackleton Base for the first time. I feel that the asymmetrical leaders aren’t quite balanced. We watched Japan’s ability get used more than double anyone else’s. They maxed out their reputation quickly, enabling the blue resource gathering. 1-

Shoutout to those at Heavycon! Wish I were there. See you all next year! Heavy games, that’s how we roll!

This tracks.

You can meet the most interesting people on public transportation. Those yelling and screaming at each other for several minutes only for them to shake hands and hug it out. Or the homeless who are in need of personal hygiene. Their smell forces people to evacuate the rail car.

Do you ever time yourself when going to a store? Going to get groceries and think you’ll be done and in line to check out in five minutes. Then check your time and get happy to have 30 seconds before your pre-supposed deadline!

Played my first full game of Arcs. Not my cup of tea. Too many random elements starting from hand management/trick taking and ending with combat dice. If you’re dealt all low or mid cards your only chance at initiative is losing a turn. Combat dice are even more chaotic than Root. 1+
