So, despite this taking over a year to finish painting, I am really happy with how Ulrik the Slayer came out! For a second, I thought I could get away with skipping varnish, but the paint does not want to stick to the edge of his cloak. All that's left is varnish. And he needs it.

Here's some things I love about Arjac. I LOVE hit big bulky studs. Instead of the GW scheme, I painted them all in metallics which look great when they catch the light. The carved runes are awesome, and next time I'll be painting them all with a glow to add visual interest. Lots of potential here.

I swear, every time I go to add paint to Arjac, I find at least one more chunk of resin. This might be one of the worst models I have ever painted. Also, disappointed in how the shield is coming out. Should have based light, done a bright color for runes and dry rushed the raised part. Too late now.

About to start Arjac Rockfist, the Anvil of Fenris. Could Citadel Finecast be less pleasant to work with? Thankfully, I managed to get through the cleanup here only breaking one thing. I'm living in terror of painting the hammer. That is DEFINITELY going to end up broken by the end of the project.

All over the place the last several days. I did manage to finish Ulli Dragonsmote and touched a little on the rest of the Kingsguard. I also managed to be distracted by a few Emperor's Children and a Chaplain the cat decided was too intact.

Lousy day of painting. I really thought I had smoothed out those chest plates until I actually got some paint on them. I'm going to stall on the other ten until I can get some fine sanding tools. Also, the main colors for my Wolf Scouts and my Emperor's Children are pretty old and dried out. Cool.
