Mayor Daniel Lurie’s unilateral decision today to allow Waymo free rein on Market St is dangerous, undemocratic, inequitable, and un-San Franciscan. SFTR's Community and Policy Manager, Dylan Fabris, writes about this decision and urges the Mayor to rescind this decree. Full piece: buff.ly/szlnK0z

Mayor Lurie’s decision to permit AVs onto Market St makes the corridor significantly more dangerous for people walking, biking, scooting, and taking transit. Kid Safe SF, the SF Bicycle Coalition, SFTR, and Walk SF joined together to denounce this decision and advocate to keep Market St car-free.

Alongside @kidsafesf.bsky.social, @sftru.bsky.social and @walksf.org, we denounce Mayor Lurie’s decision to permit Waymos onto car-free Market. It's a dangerous decision made with a shocking lack of process, and it won't solve Market Street's problems. Full statement: sfbike.org/news/joint-s...
