Check out this great overview of enabling direct-retrieval of IPFS content using a service worker. This is where all NFT marketplaces and sites using IPFS should be moving, if not running their own Helia nodes in the main thread. Safer, more decentralized, more robust.

FYI web3 devs, i'm not an airdrop tracker or follower, but I finally qualified for one (fluence network's FLT-DROP) and noticed that many hadn't claimed theirs yet. List of eligible usernames at gist.github.com/SgtPooki/f79...

custom domain handle setup, but it doesn't feel quite right for some reason.

I don’t care what the ratings say... Its lidachristmas time! tvtime.com/r/2YatK

I just replaced the seal in my front-load washer and feel pretty proud. I saved a hefty sum and got an excellent sense of accomplishment.

Check out my story about the truly awesome 96-year-old activist Opal Lee, who worked so hard to make Juneteenth a national holiday that she became known as "The Grandmother of Juneteenth," and earned herself a Nobel Peace Prize nomination...

I’m going to say it again: Crying is okay. It’s not raining, we don’t have something in our eye, and no one is cutting onions. Stop with that.

I was Scrolling through twitter to find an old tweet and saw this gold.

😂😂 so true.. especially interviewing candidates. “interviews only take an hour” but, uhm, the prep, and feedback, and debrief… who is reading resumes, consolidating notes, and trying to be unbiased with feedback in < 2 minutes?

Mariame Kaba has taught me a lot of things. One thing she taught me is to be skeptical of thinking nothing has changed. Because things are constantly changing and so we can push. Like she says in this interview. https://theintercept.com/2021/03/17/intercepted-mariame-kaba-abolitionist-organizing/

Books are good, mmmkay.

blue sky is lacking in the delightfully-weird-but-legitimately-science department so it’s a good time to take about my favorite study of all time, which determined that dung beetles navigate via the light of the milky way: https://www.science.org/content/article/dung-beetles-navigate-milky-way

I’m really thinking about making this my new profile pic. This is a new one for me…

You may be surprised, but the International Chronostratigraphic Chart (a.k.a. "the geological time scale") is often and regularly updated by the International Commission on Stratigraphy. They do it 2-4 times a year! Last version is April 2023. 🧪 International Commission on Stratigraphy
