A masterpiece of a profile. Begins with a look at a post-democratic dark lord, then slowly builds a portrait, rich with anecdotes and examples, of an emotionally stunted idiot-savant. www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

"The fact that the country has to constantly be in court to fight its own president is really wearying" -- anon

Please listen to the UN General Secretary.

Why aren’t Dems on everything talking about the Joni Ernst “you can die” bill?

Say this every day 👇

Make no mistake. Republicans are destroying one of America’s greatest assets, our amazing research done at our world class research universities! Many of these scientists will go to other countries & we are setting back innovation and development of treatments & cures. @mcuban.bsky.social

Can we all agree that presidents shouldn’t have the power to pardon people convicted of crimes that involve… 1) Violence 2) Harm to children 3) Large sums of money Asking for both parties

🇨🇦 We need to see more of this. Media has to be held responsible for the truthfulness of the information that’s being spread. This is literally our job.

Ohh please.

Does anyone else see the issue? TAX the RICH

There are 257 Democratic/Independent House members in Congress. Why is it we only hear from a handful? Why aren't all 257 holding press briefings, screaming from the rooftops? Informing their constituents what they can do?

If we can afford to give another $664 billion in tax breaks to the top 1% and spend over $1 trillion on the Pentagon, we can afford health care for the working people of this country.

The bigger the lie, the louder she gets...

Here’s the thing, if they are picking up folks working in the country illegally, I’m going to need to see some white guys also being arrested for employing people working illegally in the country. Otherwise, it’s just racism.

Phang: If you have to resort to deceit to get something done, that tells me what you’re doing is wrong. What’s happening is a dup-and-scoop: people are being duped into going to court, their cases get dismissed, and then they’re scooped up by ICE and deported under expedited removal.

Two more thoughts for the day. 1. love the takedown- and 2. it should be repeated WITH EVERY SINGLE election denier. especially very publicly and when they are running.

CBS reporter Scott Pelley: This is a warning that I fear many will look back on in five or six years and think “he was so right”. If you haven’t already shared this, please do.

"In 2017, Lockwood and two colleagues published a groundbreaking study showing many of those former classmates now cost society money...A corporate lawyer, for instance, does $30,000 of damage to society each year, a commercial banker more than $100,000."

It seems like a little election, but it could have big consequences.🗳️

Per @palmerreport.com: Your job as a political activist is to step up and amplify the Democrats, not to sit back and grade their work. aka "Circular Firing Squad"

📌Democrats lost senators from states with significant rural populations: Mont., Ohio, PA and WV. Democratic-led states are losing people to Sun Belt states led by Republicans. Some projections suggest Democrats would lose 12 seats in the Electoral College in the 2030 census. 📌This is an emergency.

Educated folks are less likely to for vote for Republicans, so Republicans defund education...

CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%.  Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

In times like this, integrity matters. Well done 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 Top lawyers walked out of Paul Weiss to start their own firm—right after the firm cut a shady deal with the White House to dodge an executive order that would’ve limited its business. Some folks still have a spine.

This is a political time to wake up EVERYDAY prepared to Speak Truth to Power!........

Elon Musk calls people who benefit from federal programs "the parasite class" and Medicare "a Ponzi scheme" while he has sucked more dollars out of our federal government than *anyone* on food stamps, Medicaid, or Medicare--and, unlike most of them, he doesn't pay taxes.
